BREAKING: Blake Ferguson signs 3-year deal at @TheParraEels , rejecting @NRLKnights

Damn.. we thought the Knights had him..

At least that's a bit of a variance from your normal response. :brick:

With Eels getting Ferguson I dont think they will re sign Hayne
Thier on about the same money
And no I dont want Hayne
But I am starting to think Bevan French
Put him with some good boys and he might behave
If he can leave his baggage at Parramatta he would be a good signing
Would provide us with speed

It's going to be interesting who IC signs this year. Does he sign more players like he did last season or does he change tactics and sign players like Moses Mbye around the 23 to 26 years old.

Cleary has history going with signing players with heap of experence . Think brent tate, and price.

Not sure who would be equivalent for these times

Mannering fits the bill

For all the Rona talk im surprised we didnt make a play at Ferguson. Give a take a few misdemeanors he is a similar type player. Tall try scoring winger.

Pretty sure we made a play at him last year and he knocked us back for a one year deal at the Roosters.

All i can say is good luck Parramatta lol

You're doing something wrong when Parra are a more attractive club than you are.

That's what I was thinking :frowning:

Surely you would want to play under Cleary than Arthur..I don't understand it..

You are right Geo, Cleary would be a better lure than Arthur, so are Parra doing a roosters and paying outside the cap

Brent Tate and especially Steve Price were great signings for the Warriors

Cleary has already stated his strategy to turn over the roster in 2-3 years. The vast majority will be players signed for 2020 and 2021 seasons onwards.

The way I see it is we will finish 9-11th this year, top 8 in 2019 and challenge for the premiership 2020 onwards for a decade.

We need the COE to be built and build our memberships and off field revenue. To a point where we attract talent. Most coaches with this roster would be running bottom 4.

Sounds like a plan, best one I have seen in a while, hope it works

Problem is most coaches won’t get the time to see this out. Hopefully we roll with Cleary and don’t panic. WT have invested in pathways heavily so we need most of our players coming from within with only a few recruits.
