Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Hayne doesn't fit our culture. The best thing about losing the 3 brats is that we can return to our fibre - the thing that was at the heart of Tigers spirit and Magpie spirit.
It was very similar. Ivan said last week the Club needs
to build its identity again and he was a Balmain fan. He knows. No wonder then that he immediately realized Mitchell Moses was not worth the money nor did he reflect the culture. Hayne is the king of the brats. We don't need him.

After watching the Titans vs Knights match.

Jarryd Hayne should be our number 1 priority, we still have loads of money with Matulino and Reynolyds money equlivent to what we were offering Teddy.

Hayne is out of contract, throw the $ at him imo

We need some creativity and Hayne can provide that and more.

A spine of 1.Hayne 6.Reynoldys 7.Brooks

Thoughts on the Hayne plane?

Would take Jarryd in a heartbeat….yes he's a walking ego but hes a match winner....i mentioned it the other day, if i was ivan, I'd be having a little chat with Israel folou....heard from a mate he aint happy at the tahs

Teddy going to Roosters, Pearce and Keary in halves - Watson will want out.

Yes this is very feasible, but will the greedy mongrels let him go before his contract is up? I doubt it, they want to keep all their up and coming stars and pinch the best players from other teams, as well and they usually find a way to do it. Michael Gordon will be the one forced out imo, and I wouldn't mind if we signed him - a good, solid fullback who can kick goals!

What do you guys think about Anthony Milford to play fullback? Broncos offering him 850-900 I think

TIGERS CHASING MILFORD?
STILL on the Tigers, Sport Confidential can tell you there was a discussion inside the walls at Concord during the week about Brisbane’s Anthony Milford. Yes, The Milf.
>
Milford would be a wonderful fullback replacement for James Tedesco. The Tigers also have plenty of cash.
>
But they first have to work out if they want to splurge on a fullback, or save some cash and throw it at another front-rower and outside back.

He COULD be awesome Marzie, but I don't want overs paid for him and that would be the only way we'd get him.

Spend the money on forwards. Win the forward battle you win the game. Hayne is a match winner but I'd want money left to get another couple of forwards.

What culture are you talking about? In top 8 only 3 times in 17 years. We need champions in the team, which Hayne is.The only reason we had all this drama with the "wee three" was because we allowed their manager to have all the negotiation chips. Hayne may have arrogance, but no doubt would be a game changer for the Tigers.Would also attract other top players to the club. Players signed so far are good club players, but no out and out champion.

How wouldnt he fit our culture….what is our culture? Recently its been supplying every other club with up and coming talent, whilst excepting everyone else's rejects...hopefully our new culture is signing the best regardlees of their attitude

I think with the players we have coming in that we should focus on forwards. If Lolohea is on board our backs seem pretty good, but games are won and lost with the forwards, and with the recruitment momentum at the moment that's where we should go.

Exactly what i was trying to say….we need to stop being content with mediocrity

X2, I think us fans have come so acustom to the idea of buying fringe first graders as we haven't had the greatest cap management, but we've got it all sorted now and have a lot of $. We should be trying to buy match winners we've lost one in Tedesco, we've got enough money to sign Hayne and maybe 2 solid forwards and a cheap winger like a Holland or Edwards

Hopoate has been very classy in his return. I know we have thought about him. Obviously would need to agree to play Sundays, but he has had some very nice touches tonight.

Watching Bulldogs game and think Adam Elliot is worth a look in the back row and William Hopoate is having great game at fullback. I would sign Hopoate but for the centres and backup fullback.

Hoppa has been all class. Very silky.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Elliot looks like a Jackson clone.

Elliot looks the goods, I'd be opening the bus door for him!

I agree, Elliot does look good. He's determined, possesses some ball skills and, also, has a feisty attitude which I like! Regarding Hoppa, yes, he'd be a sensible signing for the centres, especially if Milne falls through….

Milne won't fall through. Wouldn't say no to Hoppa in the centres though.
