Cannot understand the hysteria regarding an article in the Telegraph!! Brooks was put on a fair contract at a time when we were trying to resign Woods and Tedesco. He was told to improve, which I think he has done.

If there was a danger of him leaving, I doubt he would be on the website modelling the new jersey!! I would like to think the club has learnt from these types of mistakes the last few years.

Couldn't care less if he leaves.

You don’t compete with the Roosters to sign players. If Roosters want him he is gone. They don’t miss out. If he doesn’t accept the offer of circa 700k you let him leave and sign Shaun Johnson on similar coin.

I don’t believe the Roosters will target Brooks at all. Keary will move to halfback when Cronk retires. They will sign a Michael Morgan, Cherry Evans, Munster or origin level player Instead.

I dont think 900k is breaking the bank for him, its what halfbacks earn. Johnson is the only other bloke that could be available, if we didnt get him god knows what we'd end up with.

o.k i have bad news, i believe that the prop we have signed is MUSGROVE from souths, yet another plodder, i just dont get it. this is not confirmed but i think it is him.

He's tied to Souths until the end of 2020 so it's highly unlikely unless he's being released. He's also had some run-ins with the law.

Article in the media a day or so ago…that he has been told he can talk to other clubs.

Now if he is in fact our mystery forward I will be disappointed big time. We need qualityand class..not a plodder

Yes if the Roosters want a player they generally get them, he should of been locked down mid last season but that didn't suit Ivan's agenda. If Brooks leaves it will be on Ivan, not that he would care he just got the keys to Penrith.
