They laughed at the 50k when it was first offered a week ago. No chance they suddenly accept it. Would need to be 3-4 times that much at least.


Yea but its 50k in rooster dollars. That equates to 250k in normal dollars.

Not to many players can play centre ,fullback and goal kick Crichton can and will join another 2 Penrith players.A far better buy then JAC and with their salary cap pressure they will shite themselves.We need the speed.Easts ,pay big for exceptional players,Teddys never been on peanuts,Papas now worth a mint at storm,i would go even higher and i am a moderate thinker.

We need one out and out super star to shake the recruitment noose around our neck

Would assume Crichton is for fullback if they figure is correct. He played there for Penrith early in the season and killed it winning them a few games in the process. Laurie could go 5/8 and Doueihi centre if a miracle happened we we got Crichton (which I doubt)

I'm a huge fan of Crichton for his athleticism alone, and think his versatility would be a bonus. But no offence 900K a year is a bit much.
Forget using Packer and Mbye for comparison of his contract value, think we should be likening it to other marquee signings. To the Munsters, Grants or Teddys of the game.
Plus what would his next contract be worth if he's earning up to this much after only 1 year of good footy?

This is just a rumour at the moment,BUT I LOVE IT.We have signed 2 from this side so he would have plenty of friends in a club on the rise. We signed Packer ,Renolds,and Mbye from sides that let them go for a reason and it failed.Players were cheaper then they would be worth in todays market.This kid is not a burn out as the other 3 were.HE IS WHAT WE NEED AND IS WORTH IT.

I’d be happy with crichton, but his too young and undeveloped to be throwing that kind of cash on. This stems for one of those ageing contracts where he gets paid more as time goes on with more club favours

Crichton definitely has the capability to play fullback and at such a young age can definitely develop further, particularly in his strength. Definitely has the superstar aura about him and has said recently he’s looking to do what’s best for his family. Gotta spend that money on at least one big superstar or potential superstar
