Mikey Tannous has only just turned 18 years, he is predominantly a five eight / halfback playing this position at club level and schoolboy cup. He has only just stated playing hooker and very new to this position. The first game in that youtube clip was Mikey representing Lebanon U20's (at the age of 17) against Fiji in the halves. The other 3 games in the youtube clip were trials at SG Ball where the coach had a look at him at Hooker for the first ever time and of course halves too.

Why do we want to turn him in to a 9, we have Liddle, and Simpkin will probably overtake him shortly, he would be better off for us staying in the halves, where we have an proven 6 and a under performing 7

If the NRL thinks there isn't a massive recreational drug problem throughout the sport in general then they're kidding themselves. In particular Columbian marching dust as a player can have a few nose beers and it's gone from the system within a few days.

It's societal and should be treated as such, as players are just part of it.

There is are few pics of a fresh face by the name of Michael Tannous .. put that name down as one to remember .. this kid is predominately a number 9 .. but is just at home at either 7 or 6 .. pretty damn quick and a very elusive step / runner

First thing I noticed was the shortness of his legs, which may well be where he gains the advantage of quick footwork and movement.

he's a great touch footballer as well. quick and elusive and throws a better bullet pass than most of the halves on our books.

That is correct Mikey Tannous represented Australia in Touch Football similar to Ryan Papenhuyzen and Kalyn Ponga. Other players with a similar journey Shaun Johnson, Benji Marshall, Scott prince, Matt Bowen just to name a few. Starts to paint a picture all these types of players have the ability to break a game open and put bums on seats....just great to watch...hope we can keep him long term..!

That's a huge risk for us with both Packer and Seyfarth coming off contract at the same time. Will be hard to replace them both.

Yeah..the reduction of 6 to 4 development contracts may also be grandfathered so the option for 6 in 2021 is still there..

I don't think there muscle and bone development is anywhere near being ready.

In the old days, they used to say the forwards didn't hit there peak until there late 20's? Can you imagine the damage that Russel Packer could do to a kid with a full blown hit? he probably wouldn't come back.

Unless something happened today, we have 3 spots open don't we? Our list shows 28 but that includes Daine Laurie for next year?
