There is a problem with my quoting system, I don’t have the option to quote.
But, I disagree on the Potter note. Out of all our sacked coaches, he was the best one. He had our side clicking, Tedesco/Brooks were on fire. He had a bad run with injuries which resulted in us dropping out of the 8 in one season, the other was riddled by Farah sega before the biggest game of our season. He unfortunately had to deal with the ego’s within our side that we somehow cannot get rid of.
Of all the coaches, I felt sorry for Mick Potter the most. (maybe Wayne Pearce as well)
As Milky and some others have said, he had no budget and bugger all say in the team, but I thought he did a pretty good job with what he had, which wasn't much.
He had the balls to bench Benji and it was pretty obvious that there no love lost between him and Grant Mayer. (what a piece of work he was)
Remember Mayer sitting in the coaching box giving Potter grief - what CEO does that?
Very unprofessional on his part and saw him as nothing but a snake oil salesman who promised the world and delivered nothing.
Was glad to see the back of him and just for the record, I don't think Potter was sacked, just didn't have his contract renewed for what it's worth.
