Agree. JTJ & BJ far better centres anyway.
Still not sure what everyone saw in him.

Knows his way to the tryline...smart..can kick goals...and isnt dining out on a hilites reel from 5 yrs ago!

Have no idea how smart the guy is. Nor is it a factor

Even if he kicked at 75% for WT, we'd be ahead and would have won 3 out of those 5 close games, and made the eight.

Momo should have had the first crack at #1 this year, he's got safe hands, great footy IQ and sniffs out tries with ease.

Moses was our best kicker in 2020 at 63.41%. If this continues, we're in trouble -


He missed a kick from right in front that would have got us into the 8 in 2019. Not the guy I want to rely on.

My priority is 5/8 and Lock. I’d take Hastings for Walters (it’s a no brainer for me).
If pushed Packer and Mbye I can do with for another season.
Cini just doesn’t do it for me but you never know I might be in for a surprise.

Walters to me was a lot like J.rey (whilst with us) as he will give everything he could but didn’t really represent a quality half. I do like Walters as a player and don’t think we need to let him go unless we get someone from the pony’s in return! He’s not on massive money so it won’t free up much cap space if we let him go I get that it gives us another spot in the top 30 but it won’t help us out tremendously if we wer to release him without a player swap IMO

I dont care what it "sounds like" to you, thats not what I said. Its irrelevant to the point i was making in response to someone making up an 83% goal kicking record and making the claim that we need Momo for his goal kicking.

Well all we can go on is his actual performance. 75% is nothing to get excited about and as I say, when it meant something, against the team coming last, a few weeks out from the semi finals, he kicked 2/5 including missing one from in front. We lost by 2, we miss the 8.

That is not a kicker I'll hang my hopes on, but feel free to correct me.
Should I be excited about kicking rate of 75% or a kicker who cant kick under pressure?

Should I just make up a stat to strengthen my case?

If we let Walters go to sign Hastings I am right behind that.

Transformational.Someones gotta make up for Benjis 22 try assists(without the 1000 missed tackles)...and i dont think Brooks/Douhi can get close.
Hastings is part of the solution somewhere
But if Walters goes,theres no experienced back up for 9...but I cld live with that(brooks/Mybe etc)

I said in the other thread I am concerned.

We have 4 outside backs (not counting Mbye & Doueihi) that have played more than 5 first grade games. Young players need some experience around them and we are a couple of injuries away from throwing kids to wolves.

The negotiations are questionable, we started off offering Cini & ended up giving up Momo. I know which I would rather on my roster, even if only for depth purposes.

Not blaming the rookie, I was responding (to someone else) making the claim that Momo's goalkicking would be the difference for us and MAKING UP stats to prove the case. I merely used actual facts to show that his goalkicking isnt reliable enough to depend on. Dont shoot me, but feel free to point out a flaw in my argument.
