Great job Tigers,added forwards with leadership,size and grunt.Gradually adding much needed speed and skill in JTJ and Laurie. Have classy kids waiting in the wings.With Tamou,Cini,Blore and Laurie we would strengthen our options with further Penrith poachings like Chrichton and we have done it on the cheap.Still plenty of dollars and space for this and next year.This is the best position this side has been in for a long time.

Big mistake. We lost 5 close games last year due to poor kicking.

Momo in his handful of games at Melbourne last year kicked at 83.33%.

Even if he kicked at 75% for WT, we'd be ahead and would have won 3 out of those 5 close games, and made the eight.

**Momo should have had the first crack at #1 this year,** he's got safe hands, great footy IQ and sniffs out tries with ease.

Moses was our best kicker in 2020 at 63.41%. If this continues, we're in trouble -


First crack at 1? Jeez i only remember one time he played fullback and it was horrendous (and i'm a Momo fan). Have to agree with others, he wasn't needed by us this year and Laurie covers what we need position wise. Lets hope he lives up to the hype.

Why would Moma go to Penrith if he wanted to play nrl? Must have been some incentive bucks in the deal?
Anyhow, let’s hope Laurie is as good as his reputation.
Does he play FB then move to 5/8? If so what happens to his predecessor? Does he go to 13?

He’s a centre , Naden has a ban coming , and Tyrone may is a half / 9 . Burton the other choice is on his way to the dogs, so I wouldn’t be playing him , unless of injuries . He’s got a real shot of starting round 1 there in a team who is vying for the premiership. Good luck to him, he did us a massive solid last year and I hope he kills it .

This is amazing news if true. Probably our best off season recruitment drive that I can remember. Mbye will be our fullback in round 1. We definitely won't be paying any of his wage in 2022 he had a player option to stay here which he obviously won't be taking. Even for this year we are probably just swapping their contracts over

One thing that baffles me is that Hastings has ripped up ESL and looked a class above it for 2 years now and many people on here still turn their nose up at him and say NO. Yet Gareth Widdop came over last year with a big reputation, did very little and looked average at best, in the very same competition as Hastings yet people still wanted to sign him when he was linked pre Christmas.

Were people really knocking down the door on here to sign Widdop? Seems to be more interest in Hastings on here right now than there ever was for him.

They also signed Eiso and Jennings. Cleary has a bad history in recruitment.

We rarely agree , but I ? agree with you here . There’s no way on earth we let him go to Melbourne ,If he was at all in our first team plans . He’s caught between generations here .

Both have played nrl though . Widdop was excellent for years . I was against signing him at all. But I understood the idea. What has Hastings done ? Dominated C cup , I mean Super league . So what ? We cherry pick the occasional player in a 12 team league with 30 people in each team , plus juniors , and people want to pretend it’s some high standard . Of course there’s diamonds in the rough . But for the most part , most of the guys playing in Super league , are guys who floated around here , or old blokes trying to relive former glories .
I know it hurts for the poms on here , but that’s the truth . It sux because I wish the super league was of the standard it was , as recent as prior to the super league war. But that comp is kicky mouse , because the owners are bush league , trying to hold onto districts ,instead of gaining foot holds in cities .
That’s the truth . No one gives a toss about Wakefield vs widnes . It has no broad appeal , outside those areas .

This is amazing news if true. Probably our best off season recruitment drive that I can remember. Mbye will be our fullback in round 1. But what this means is that he will know that he has a young gun breathing down his neck who wants his job and it will bring out the best in both of them. Well done tigers management.
