Can't see the issue if he is spoken about

IF he signed with us ...we become a Top 8 side .....

And before someone says ...."he isn't coming to the WT's " ....90% of the people spoken about aren't coming to the WT's

Don't mind reading about if and where he might sign, but surely there's a better thread than this one for arguing about salary cap rorting from over a decade ago.

People obviously look at his signing the same way they might a Willie Mason or even a Jackson Hasting

Do you take his talent and ignore his past ...some do ....some don't .....some are trying to keep us clean skins

But he is signing possibility and off contract ...not like half the made up junk that we read about

Its the off season ...not a great deal to talk about

But you've just got the thread off track ...keep it on track ...you can't obviously talk about Smith ...the greatest player of his generation at the very least ...so talk about Jackson Hastings for the next 20 odd days

Why? It's been literally one day since the rumour came out. Things take time in rugby league - although I reckon it'll be for 2022 if we get him

It's been longer than that hasn't it? Maybe my memory is faulty. I haven't seen 2021 mentioned anywhere outside the forum, and surely Wigan wouldn't want to give up their star playmaker so close to the season kick off? For 2022 I think we're a strong chance though.

The rumour that we were interested has been around for a bit but someone saying we've actually signed him effective immediately only happened yesterday.

Two days then. Certainly not enough for everyone to claim it's not happening and make fun of the person who provides the rumour. Keep doing that and we'll never get rumours on here ever..... even The Pom gets it wrong sometimes

Definitely wasn't making fun of the bloke who posted it, I appreciate them posting it and don't doubt they thought it was credible.

He did have the right juice on the Daine Laurie signing, calling it before anyone else. Though that was first hand info from immediate family when out for a walk if I recall correctly.

Might be a good idea to keep those matches handy, as it seems almost certain that there have been discussions on 2022 at the very least with Hastings.

If they say **immediately** then after 48hrs they are fair game.

I read effective immediately as meaning this year.... not literally on the same day. Not many rumours eventuate instantly lol

Which in turn often lessens the community by pushing others and especially newcomers away.

It's okay for guys like me that have been on here for a good while now getting down and dirty with similar others, but I pretty well keep such amongst them. Even your early episode probably had yourself wondering whether to bother coming back to contribute and debate points of view.

I welcome each and every rumour that the poster believes has some basis. Some suggestions maybe not so much, but without opinions there are no points of discussion.
