Dragons and Dogs are the two teams interested in Milford.

Xavier Coates and Staggs were both looking likely to stay at the Broncos, however Bellamy is has signed on to coach another season at Melbourne (2022) then he will move into a consultancy role which has seems to have convinced Coates to move to Melbourne. Papenhuyzen will also re-sign. Staggs will likely stay at Brisbane due to Gold Coast pulling their interest.

Naden had verbally agreed in to join from 2022 and was hoping for an early release this year, however dogs have offered more money (Eels interested but have not formally offered- Eels offer would be slightly less than ours). If he can get a release this year he will be at the Tigers. If not he may be at the dogs as the Tigers offer is only better if it includes this year.

Joey will be released at the end of the year at this stage with Mbye and Packer moving on. Amone, Mikaele and Seyfarth are playing for a new deal. Chee Kam and Walters will likely leave. Should have about 2.2million for next season depending on how much of Mbyes deal will be subsidised. That money will primarily focused on a winger, centre, second rower/lock. The club will likely sit back and see who becomes available throughout the year and at the end season for those spots. Very big emphasis on getting the "right" player rather than spending the money for the sake of it.

Any idea where Mbye is going? Roberts a possibility to stay? Surely they have some ideas of who in particular they want. Thanks for the info!

Mbye will end up at one of the Queensland teams. The issue with MBye is that those teams either see him as a 14 or a centre which is an issue as teams don't want to subsidise too much of his salary because of that. If he was seen as a starting half, teams would be more willing to take on a larger chunk of his salary. I believe the Titans are most interested in him as a 14/back up to Fogarty & Taylor. It may be more likely now they're off Staggs.

Roberts will stay on provided he keeps everything together off the field (which he has so far). The thing with Roberts is that there is absolutely zero risk in keeping him on as he is one of the lowest paid player in the 29 man squad (with two or three others). Even if he was dropped to NSW Cup, he would still be one of the lowest paid players in NSW Cup. However, Jimmy will come good. He is finding his feet again and really hasn't had much opportunity with the ball in the early rounds.

In regards to Cini, he has been performing well but have not heard much from a contract stand point. It would depend if he gets interest from other clubs and if the club finds that top level winger they are looking for. Its still early days and there is a lot of football to be played for players to earn contracts. A few clubs are taking a "wait and see" approach with a number of players and Cini would be one of them.

Surely Moses a million dollar player at the moment broncos should give Milford money to Moses. He may take a payout for parra and a premiership they look likely this year

This the same Moses that was copping it left right and centre a little while back that took his slimy mates to the bottom of the table?

The Naden offer sounds to much like an Addo-Carr repeat
Surely if we are that interested in Naden and he doesn't come this year, we just put in a revised offer for Next year
Either we want him or we dont

Tears on the kennel in re to burton are sooooooooooooooooo good

Hardly . It’s an indictment on the game , and shouldn’t be something that’s celebrated . Penrith are just perfectly geographically located , it’s not like they went into Nigeria and developed these kids from nothing . They are the district for which a vast majority of Polynesian expats live . Sure they found a way to maximise that , but come on !
I’m such an advocate for the draft , and I disagree completely that “we shouldn’t punish development teams”. There’s only a finite amount of districts and players who are playing the game , let alone genetically suitable to play the game .
Anyways just my opinion .

Penrith is also closest to the Central West where Staines (Parkes), Burton (Dubbo), Yeo (Dubbo) plus Martin - Riverina (Temora) originate from.

Pascoe was behind the Panthers playing a home game in Bathurst and they set up do a lot of coaching in those Central West cities.
This is what WT are trying to tap into Tamworth and nearby cities.

Bathurst 2 hours further west makes sense for Penrith. How did we land on Tamworth 5 hrs north?

Tamworth population is nearly as large as Bathurst and Orange combined, plus it's the hub of the New England region with a huge area to draw on any talented players.
Tamworth is a good move as far as WT are concerned.

Those stats aren’t low enough for us to offer him a new deal and reinstate him as captain. Let’s give him another two years to really work into plodder territory

Well if we went 2 hours north we are bang in the middle if Newcastle. To the south is basically nothing between Sydney and Canberra so Tamworth was probably the only real option other than maybe Port Mac or Coffs.

Unfortunately some on this Forum can't see the reasons WT'S give up a home game to achieve this Pamfers have picked up some sensational young players we have to remember its the National Rugby League and some of the games greatest have come from the bush

Something/someone needs to light the fire in Mikaele's belly because there's no reason why he shouldn't kick on and start to dominate. I think there's been some signs in his attack this season, but defensively he needs to improve - he's the strongest bloke in the club and should be whacking players left right and centre. I can see why Seyfarth gets his turn today as he plays with urgency out on the field, sometimes at the expense of giving away penalties.

Hopefully the club can entice a quality centre/winger/lock into the fold - we seem to struggle in this regard.

Throw $550k - $650k at Finucane... Seb Kris should be a target too.

Finucane would be handy. I also think Jayd'n Sua would be worth targeting.

Finucane I would throw the cheque book at. He is exactly what we need if we want to play finals. I read somewhere Sua is homesick and wants to go back to Queensland.
