Asked him if he'd ever consider the tigers.

... he said yes.

He was hitting some sprints at my local track when COVID kicked off.

Worth a chat.....

One of my mates who coaches in Souths junior reps met him last year and has remained in touch - reckons he's one of the nicest people you could ever meet.

Yeah, I was surprised to see him and his wife and their dog in my area of all places.

Can confirm, super nice.
He'd be great for our pack.
He's an experienced player but still pretty young.

I personally think he’ll get extended for another year at a cut price.

There is a lot of harm in destroying the confidence of 60 players with "just try anything".

Doueihi plays a very specific role as a running 5/8, similar to Jack Whiten. **Whiten took quite a while to come good at 5/8 and learn when to pass and when to run**.

Doueihi is not a halfback, and your 6 and 7 have to compliment each other, certain types of halfback go with certain types of 5/8s. Brooks is an allrounder and a running 5/8 like Doueihi is the right match for him. If both can play with confidence and freedom and the forwards stop getting dominated, it can be a good combination.

Trying random stuff means that we never see what could have been if we had fixed the teams attitude and defence and let the spine have a season to play together.

Switching Nofoaluma from right wing to left wing and Nofoaluma had a great game the 1st time that happened

What confidence does our team have
I haven’t seen confidence in our team for a very long time

I think the loss of Hodgson and Batemen has made Whitens job much harder.
If we fix effort, attitude and resilience, then wins and confidence will hopefully come. It is a massive uphill battle from where we are.
