Happy with Joffa and Seyfarth the last few weeks, but still think if we got Finucane he would help teach the squad how to compete every set in defence. Absolute maniac.

Not a podcast, but listen to what Bellamy says about him in the in the post game press conference after the Titans game.

Seyfarth appears to be our next lock. We don't need Finucane and from what we know about Seyfarth, he sets very high standards for his own training which I'm sure other players will note. In amongst the disaster yesterday that was our NSW Cup team, young Daniel Sykes came on and started to hit very hard in defence. You could see he has the drive and competitive spirit Gould often refers to in commentary. Why block our good young players with senior players at the backend of their careers?

Did Roosters need Cronk at the back end of his career when they had Pearce?

Ask the Roosters. We don't need Finucane. Let him get his retirement payday elsewhere. Those days should be over at WTs.

I don’t think you have anything to worry about. His valued at the Storm and his potential replacement in the cheese is looking to move on. So I’d say his a lock to resign for a couple of years with the Storm on about 500k a season.

So he’s good enough for Bellamy but not for us ?

That is not the issue. We don't need him and he would block the development and progression of our young players.. The cap is finite and we have positions of greater need to fill as well as a host of good young talent to sign long term.

I can’t cop the block the development argument, the chances of us having multiple players of his ability coming through are slim. If they do outplay him then all well and good , he’d be a handy bench forward behind what would be ‘origin quality’ forwards who superseded him.

Seyfarth is playing really well and you want to bump him for a 30 odd year old forward at the end of his career? And then if he can't make the 13, you're going to pay $500k plus to have him sit on the interchange.

Let’s see these young guys prove themselves against the competition heavyweights before we anoint them the next big things. Seyfarth looks like a tough hombre but we haven’t beat much.

I wonder what reviews Finucane had after 10 odd NRL games.
They were most probably similar to what Seyfarth is getting now.
Let’s judge Alex after 50 games, there are not too many forwards shine after a handful of games.

Just played a Gf , not bad . He’s been a quality NRL forward since he debuted. Bellamy loves him, but WT should keep signing outcasts and Oporto lovers

I'd love Finucane, but at this age you have to get him for the right price. we got Tamou at $370k, we'd want Finucane for no more than $500k. I feel like the dogs and cowboys will be offering far higher than that

I think if we want to see Stefano, Mikaele, tuilagi go to higher honours a Finucane would be ideal to show them it doesn’t just happen.

Wonder how long until WT is "linked" to Ken Maumalo...

from Brent Read via foxsprts.

WARRIORS WINGER ON THE MARKET

Warriors winger Ken Maumalo has reportedly been shopped around to rival NRL clubs.

The 26-year-old has 41 NRL tries in 105 games and comes off contract next year.

But that hasn’t stopped his manager from offering the Kiwi international’s services around.
“He’s been offered around the NRL,” Read said.

“His management has reached out to a couple of clubs to see if they are interested in signing him.

“He’s a big powerful winger and he will be decent value for someone somewhere and it looks like it won’t be at the Warriors next year.”

I would take him, he is still pretty young and can find the line, plus big enough for the dirty carriers

Maumalo is a quality NRL winger who we wld normally sign in a heartbeat...but rite now we need SPEED and Im not sure hes got it tbh
A larger and more injury prone Nofa..?

New Zealand version of MWZ lol

Ken Maumalo would be the tallest in our backline, among AD.

He's a prototype modern winger, physically.
He does at times suffer from the old Krisnan Inu symptoms of not being engaged in the game and lacking involvement.

A few of us on here were interested a few years ago. He's OK... better value than DWZ.

He was one of the homesick lads who went back to NZ. I'd be questioning his commitment before we were signed him....

Not really...

He's got ability, size, speed and a decent vertical leap.

I think he suffers from the common NZ warrior issues of... just turning up and being OK.

Until Walsh there's been no stand outs at NZ for so long.

It broke and had to be returned.
Twice.

I think they source their gear from Ali Xpress.
0 stars/ do not recommend.

I'm just happy I didn't pay for it and @Milky gave it to me as a forum retirement present when I was banned.

Apparently strong mail, dogs targeting mikaele for 2022 but are now trying to get him as part of the swap deal for DWZ!! Not a fan of this as mikaele is great impact for us. Hopefully we can keep him on a nice cheap contract. But we know dogs happy to pay players extras.

Don’t think mikaele would want to go to the dogs but money speaks!

Idk how to post a screenshot on here, but few articles going around on fb and Instagram.

Certainly is a worry we haven't extended Mikaele yet. Obviously they were waiting to see how he was going which is fine but now other clubs have noticed him
