Absolute maniac.
Not a podcast, but listen to what Bellamy says about him in the in the post game press conference after the Titans game.
Seyfarth appears to be our next lock. We don't need Finucane and from what we know about Seyfarth, he sets very high standards for his own training which I'm sure other players will note. In amongst the disaster yesterday that was our NSW Cup team, young Daniel Sykes came on and started to hit very hard in defence. You could see he has the drive and competitive spirit Gould often refers to in commentary. Why block our good young players with senior players at the backend of their careers?
Did Roosters need Cronk at the back end of his career when they had Pearce?
Ask the Roosters. We don't need Finucane. Let him get his retirement payday elsewhere. Those days should be over at WTs.
I don’t think you have anything to worry about. His valued at the Storm and his potential replacement in the cheese is looking to move on. So I’d say his a lock to resign for a couple of years with the Storm on about 500k a season.
So he’s good enough for Bellamy but not for us ?
That is not the issue. We don't need him and he would block the development and progression of our young players.. The cap is finite and we have positions of greater need to fill as well as a host of good young talent to sign long term.
I can’t cop the block the development argument, the chances of us having multiple players of his ability coming through are slim. If they do outplay him then all well and good , he’d be a handy bench forward behind what would be ‘origin quality’ forwards who superseded him.
Seyfarth is playing really well and you want to bump him for a 30 odd year old forward at the end of his career? And then if he can't make the 13, you're going to pay $500k plus to have him sit on the interchange.
Let’s see these young guys prove themselves against the competition heavyweights before we anoint them the next big things. Seyfarth looks like a tough hombre but we haven’t beat much.
I wonder what reviews Finucane had after 10 odd NRL games.
They were most probably similar to what Seyfarth is getting now.
Let’s judge Alex after 50 games, there are not too many forwards shine after a handful of games.
Just played a Gf , not bad . He’s been a quality NRL forward since he debuted. Bellamy loves him, but WT should keep signing outcasts and Oporto lovers

I'd love Finucane, but at this age you have to get him for the right price. we got Tamou at $370k, we'd want Finucane for no more than $500k. I feel like the dogs and cowboys will be offering far higher than that
