Bennett has revealed Jayden Su'a will be forced out of Rabbitohs, wouldn't be surprised if we had a crack at him although it seems he wants to go back to Brisbane. Good player on his day has been a bit out of form recently but seems like a Madge type player, strong and likes to hit hard.
Definitely some interest in Harley Smith-Shields too, Hartigan has said the club likes him.
I think there's a lot of upside to Su'a, only young and can get better. We've got the cash and need a decent backrower.
2nd row is where the club is looking to fill the last spot on the roster.
Don't see Su'a leaving Souths early but wouldn't mind him for next year. He will probably follow Bennett though
The club is looking at options for this year at present.
Su’a is a big yes from me ..
Not a plodder
Make it happen Cochise ?
Our forward back really does need a couple of damaging runners.
Agreed, though I think we could have been at least half way there if we started and finished with 15 minutes of Blore bookended power and an hour or so of rest between stints.
Especially so if we are going to continue to run with four forwards on the bench and getting minimal minutes, yet allow fatigued edge forwards to remain on for the eighty and are surprised we are getting pumped out there.
I think adding in 2 forwards that play with a little more aggression and hit the line harder would balance out our pack better.
And I think putting Blore into an edge rotation gives you three wide forwards that have the energy to hit the line harder and Shawn brings the aggression to open proceedings.
Yeah I didn't mean to sound like I was disagreeing with you, I would like to see Blore up his aggression a little but I think he is still a little underdone.
Again agreed, though bookended stints gives him the rest between stints and if well ahead would bring him back on earlier for a longer stint to get match fitness.
I just want to see our WT try something different there, rather than play musical chairs in moving them from one side of the field and back to the other. Still like Lucy, but see him blunted by having to last the eighty and want Blore to at least have a shot at blunting our opposition from the opening whistle.
