Don't know why sharks are dumping Johnson, he's a better halfback than anyone they'll sign.

Same as Souths getting rid of Reynolds! Neither team has signed a suitable replacement for what is probably the most important position on the field - I just don’t get it.

Bennett has revealed Jayden Su'a will be forced out of Rabbitohs, wouldn't be surprised if we had a crack at him although it seems he wants to go back to Brisbane. Good player on his day has been a bit out of form recently but seems like a Madge type player, strong and likes to hit hard.

Definitely some interest in Harley Smith-Shields too, Hartigan has said the club likes him.

I think there's a lot of upside to Su'a, only young and can get better. We've got the cash and need a decent backrower.

2nd row is where the club is looking to fill the last spot on the roster.

Don't see Su'a leaving Souths early but wouldn't mind him for next year. He will probably follow Bennett though

Darius Boyd MkII

Jayden Bennett…….

Make it happen Cochise ?

Our forward back really does need a couple of damaging runners.

Agreed, though I think we could have been at least half way there if we started and finished with 15 minutes of Blore bookended power and an hour or so of rest between stints.

Especially so if we are going to continue to run with four forwards on the bench and getting minimal minutes, yet allow fatigued edge forwards to remain on for the eighty and are surprised we are getting pumped out there.

I think adding in 2 forwards that play with a little more aggression and hit the line harder would balance out our pack better.

I'd be thinking about starting Blore soon enough or at least giving him more and more minutes. He's impressed me a lot this year, runs nice lines and he's better at the dirty hit ups than Garner is.

I really cannot stand the eels there all so arrogant looking forward to them getting knocked out of the semis by either storm or panthers or even manly

Joys of a winning team

If we got the leg up like Eels and South get most game we would be in the 8 as well.
With the way the game is going these days it is a massive help and easy for the refs to disguise it. The 6 again rule needs to go in my eyes.

i'd be interested to see how many for and against 6 agains the tigers have had compared to other teams
surely we must be on the lower end of the receiving end for them

Its not so much how many '6-Agains' that you get, its when in the tackle count that you get them. The majority of Parramatta's were on Tackle 3 or 4 whereas the Tigers were getting them on Tackle 1.

TBH i turned off at half time, i knew the outcome and already have enough anger pent up and didn't need the extra load

i have noticed the tigers (refs) are terrible at when they give them away

You turned the game off at a 14-6 half time score ?

Considering how lop sided the ref was in the 1 half, it was to our credit we were only down by 8. You couldn’t have possibly known we’d have a player sent off in the first 5 minutes and concede 3 tries in 10 minutes following

I felt pretty optimistic about our chances after the Liddle try.

A stack of possession sway our way and we were right in the ball game. Unfortunately we probably seen even less ball in the 2nd half compared to the 1st

Pretty fed up with being caned by the refs nearly every week actually. It just ruins any possible enjoyment I could get watching my team play. I really detest bias and unfairness more than anything else, whether it be in sport, politics or in life in general.

There is always a very high chance that we will be on the wrong end of the ledger in every game and we end up having to fight even harder to try an eek out a win. We are not that strong a team, we are average and we need some things to go in our favour sometimes to even have a chance. It must be demoralising for the team to be penalised out of the game 9 times out of 10. I know it demoralises me, I just can’t watch it anymore.

Felt the Blore sin bin was real soft. A penalty probably fair but a sin bin was overkill and was the start of the 3 tries in 10mins slide. The try scored when Laurie was taken mid air was rough too. I get he'd already knocked the ball forward while mid air however the defender still took the man in the air resulting in him hitting the ground hard and having to go off for a HIA.

The 6 agains and penalties were also stacked heavily in Eels favour (9 - 4 Penalties and 8 - 5 ruck infringements). Having said all that it was likely the 14 errors, 46 - 20 missed tackles and 28 -14 ineffective tackles that ultimately cost us the game. Majority of our matches that we've lost our ineffective tackle count would be through the roof. I've never seen a team attempt so many lazy snatch and grab type tackles. The amount of times defenders are left clutching thin air or failing to wrap up the ball amazes me every week.

You don't think there's a correlation between infinite set restarts and penalties and missed/ineffective tackles..??

Although not wrapping up the ball carrier is a simple technique that we've struggled with immensely for 20 years. And still no plan to fix it.

Strangely enough, we are on the right side of the ledger for everything except inside 10's.

And I think putting Blore into an edge rotation gives you three wide forwards that have the energy to hit the line harder and Shawn brings the aggression to open proceedings.

I just think he is underdone at the moment, the injury was a setback to him. I still think we are going to see a very aggressive and damaging runner of the ball when he gets his fitness up.

Again agreed, though bookended stints gives him the rest between stints and if well ahead would bring him back on earlier for a longer stint to get match fitness.

I just want to see our WT try something different there, rather than play musical chairs in moving them from one side of the field and back to the other. Still like Lucy, but see him blunted by having to last the eighty and want Blore to at least have a shot at blunting our opposition from the opening whistle.

The club is looking at options for this year at present.

Su’a is a big yes from me ..

Make it happen Cochise ?

Would be our best signing since Gareth Ellis

I hope this is sarcasm.

He’s being kept out of the starting side by Jacob Host so that should tell you all you need to know. As bog average as you can get

He’s a guy that opposition players look for in the defensive line because he can hurt you. Exactly what our back rowers aren’t. Wayne is probably giving him a freshen up and I reckon he’ll follow Wayne back to QLD anyway.

And I think putting Blore into an edge rotation gives you three wide forwards that have the energy to hit the line harder and Shawn brings the aggression to open proceedings.

Yeah I didn't mean to sound like I was disagreeing with you, I would like to see Blore up his aggression a little but I think he is still a little underdone.

Yeah Lucy is playing too many minutes, Liddle is as well. Having Twal capable of playing huge minutes should give us room to be creative with out bench.

Woods ? That wouldn't be our FORMER Captain, FORMER Australian Player and FORMER State of Origin Player "wood" it?
The guy who as our Captain wanted to take himself,Tedesco, Brooks and Moses to the Dogs.
It cant be. He was going to a team that could win a comp.
So you are saying that he still plays but his current team don't want him?
I guess it is what it is, isnt it.....

Ahhhmmm, ummm, I heard woods consulted his missus and she agreed it is what it is he should offer himself for $200k…so glad his move away from the Tigers turned out to be a big fail…..will never forget how he treated the club he was captain of with such contempt

Didn't he tell Tolman when we played dog's to keep the jersey warm for him cos he would be playing front row beside klemmer the following year?

Than He got shafted to sharks and tolman still had his dog's jersey

Now woods is being shafted by sharks and tolman has his jersey

How funny

Go Tolman

Suck eggs woods you useless ex front rower

2040

Woohoooo

See, Desi had it right all along.

I think Pearce ends up a Shark. makes sense considering the Fitzgibbon link and an availability there. doubt he comes here and to be quite honest, I'm happy with that. I'm from the Magpies side of the JV but he still dogged our club when he would've certainly grown up supporting us.

7 Pearce
6 Moylan
1 Hynes

Will Kennedy available to leave ?

Baby Bubba just signed a new contract with them

Can't see Pearce going there either tbh
