Well aren't you criticising the club for getting other club's discards but also saying how awesome the dogs recruitment plan is?

JAC and Burton aren’t discards. And TPJ wants out (and the Broncos are obliging).

Dogs recruitment has been proactive and Gould is an excellent appointment. If the signings gel they’ll be a vastly superior team to this year.

We’re more of a known quantity. With the exception of a couple of ESL players we’ve signed no one. We can go into another season without any expectation.

TPJ doesn't want out, Broncos are so happy for him to leave, they'll be paying part of his salary next year.

They will need to be vastly superior because as bad as we're going, they are EIGHT points behind us.

We're not finished yet. Laurie signed with us in November. AD signed in January. Be Patient.

Patient is a word that needs to be banned. We’ve been waiting since 2011. Stick your patience.

People are so used to losing on here it’s almost become accepted.

Nothing wrong with that, I know I am. You probably are too, it’s expected at this point. As I have said before though, I remember telling people to be patient in 2014. What happens if still haven’t made the finals by 2025-26, are there still going to be some who scold others for not being patient. What a BS term to use on supporters who haven’t seen finals for 10 years, and only 3 years in 21.

I’m over being patient and accepting losing every year. It’s just one cock up after another with this club. They’re embarrassing.

Then stop following the side. That's your only other option. Truly, a fan can piss and moan about everything the club does, big or small, all the way from recruitment down to haircuts, but it doesn't really achieve anything.

I would have no problem giving him a go especially if we can offload Mbye for next year. He just needs a change of clubs and he would be a great 14 like Conner Watson. Bonus is we would not have to pay massive money for him as he just wants to get his career back on track. 2 years with CO on the 2nd.

All three debuted at top 4 clubs and had a blocked pathway despite being next in line. AD had a decent run but they wanted something else.

Pay overs for one more leader in their late 20s by all means (which TPJ ain't, btw). Otherwise look at the ladder, start at the top, look at the guys in those top teams who can't crack a regular gig but perform when injuries or origin strike, and go nuts.

Milf is a funny one. He actually has a stack of ability but he’s been in a slump now for about 5 years. When he’s playing well he’s worth double that, but in current form he’s probably worth nothing.

There was an article a year or ago showing that souths and the roosters had signed more current origin players then the rest of the comp combined over the last 10 years. So I’d say quiet a few

I think both are solid, a bit sideways from Garner but hopefully without the peaks and troughs in performance

If we paid $300k for Milf and he didn’t work out I wouldn’t go nuts at the club for that. Just like JTJ hasn’t worked out. It was worth the risk. Only 3% of the cap. You’d just have to expect it not to work out but if it did, huge upside.

They signed them

I'd argue both. Cook was barely a FG first choice before landing at Souths who molded him into an Origin level hooker. Reynolds and Walker both became Origin players coming up through the Souths system.

Roosters had Cordner, Friend and Pearce who all came up through their system and became Origin players.

Both teams have obviously gone out bought Origin level players as well.

Milf was a brilliant fullback but a dud half. Anywhere else in the backline he's probably 300k well spent.

Well said. In strong organisations feedback arrives at the top and is used in decision making. If enough people vent their concerns somebody at the club might just wake up from their 10 year slumber and start making some positive change. Who knew Gus was available last week?
