It's worth asking contracted players to leave your club if they're worth more to another club than you. I can't see Mbye being worth more anywhere. Every team is stacked with utlities.

Mbye is perfect for the dragons.
Dufty is leaving.
Norman is allegedly leaving.

They got young Sloane but a FB/HLF type like Mbye can fill a gap.
Griffin likes the Queenslanders.
Seems a likely move.

Hope it happens, then... not our problem.

With Mbye off the books next year even if we paid half his way approx. $500k, we could afford Lomax and Cotric. We would be out of pocket for $100k if we subsidise Lomax and Cotric's contracts' assuming they are $600k each and we paid 50% of them. So Cotric and Lomax would be $600k against our cap and Mbye $500k. Both good outside backs at those prices. Mbye is a dead weight for the cap as we know. You could make these numbers work easily. All for it. I think Wests are doing a good job trying to get this cap back in order. We can't get Moses' contract off our books next year, it stinks. We could theoretically have Canterbury subsidies two years worth of Cotric's salary given their desperation. That would be a good outcome. Not sure Saints would be willing to pay Lomax's for more than a year, remember he has 5 years on his contact, Cotric only has 2 left. Thanks @Demps love to dream mate. Am picturing Lomax in a Tigers jersey!

IF we can sign Lomax the dragons won't be chipping in a cent. He's only on 500k, and that's reasonable. So for the total cost of Mbye's contract we'd lose him and gain Lomax. I'd take that swap if we can maneuver it

I’d take Lomax in a heartbeat he’s contract is reasonable by all accounts, the problem is I can’t see how the Dragons would be willing. Maybe we throw Talau or Kepaoa in as a sweetener as long as they pick up their deals fully. No one in their right mind is taking on Mbyes contract we reap what we sow there.
