Has a Junior Tatola type feeling about him who we also let go. Underrated forward at souffs now

Not sure if Barrett is the coach to get the best out of him though

Mavoni is a 15 minute player who thinks he's gangsta...

I have my doubts he'll be a first grader, but good luck to him... love a success story.

Love us to get Lomax but didn't he re-sign with St George for an extended period just a short time ago? Why would he want out of the Dragons and why would be join us if he were to leave?

The talk is that he is on the outter with some of the players over the Vaughan covid party?

I'm not sure if the club have said they want him? But we have plenty of cash and he covers positions we are looking for?

Fullback?

Yeah but I remember years ago we also thought Paseka was a lazy so and so.

Now look at him for manly

He's actually a good bloke. Met him plenty of times through junior footy and he's pretty dedicated.

Best of luck to him, I think he'll make it.

TBH, I don't know much about Lomax, is he a fullback? I understand he is thought highly of as a back, so he fits our bill.

THE ONE TIGERS LET GO

I think we have some better forwards in Flegg. Can’t
keep them all

Time will tell. Can’t say I was expecting him to make a case ahead of our current props in the next 2 years, but we’ll see. Have the dogs offered him a top 30 spot?

Mavoni could easily become a good player but it seems the club has prioritised other young forwards in Sione Tupou and Fonua Pole

Hopefully that ends up being the right decision but we won't know for a number of years. I'm assuming we keep one or both of those guys if Mavoni is going otherwise it's a bit silly

Think his attitude is a bit poor with the gang related stuff on youtube

That video is from 2019 just so everyone is aware.
Might’ve pulled his head in since.

Well in fairness Manly signed Paseka in 2016, ahead of 2017, and he didn't debut until 2018. At the end of 2018 they extended him for another 3 seasons, so he's already on his second Manly deal. He got another extension in 2020, until end of 2024.

Paseka has played 64 matches in 4 seasons of first grade for Manly (average 16 per season) and only started 7 times (44 matches) in his first 3 seasons. He only became a regular starter in 2021. He did not play first grade in 2017.

Credit therefore to Manly to getting the kid to starting front row capability, but it took them 4 full seasons to achieve it. If I contrast that journey against someone like Stefano, I personally think Stefano is already at Paseka's level, if not better, and he's achieved that in less than 1 season.

100% credit to Manly. They showed faith in him , kept him there by contInualy re-signing him. Now he is only 23 and if he shows Manly the same faith they showed him , Manly will have a big bopper for the duration of his career. Especially when Tapau retires , Paseka will step right into his shoes as the starting prop and still have plenty of year ahead of him.
