https://youtu.be/F0pQcK8jVzo Dillon looks very good

THats actually a pretty impressive reel for a change. Hate to say it but runs like Teddy.

Dont see it

Something about the way he lowers his body height as he hits top gear.

Think Ted had more speed at his age.

Don't know about that - Dillon can motor - he's on par with Papenhuyzen for speed.

You reckon?

Absolutely, aside from Jordan Hill who spent most of the season injured, Dillon is the quickest player in the the WT Flegg team.

Going off his highlights I see a bit of Reese Walsh style in him.

I almost think he's a Tedesco/Papenhuyzen hybrid. he looks a very very good prospect. he has the strength, pace and evasion required to return the ball and make things happen off attacking shapes, but I was just as excited by his long balls, even though they need some work. he has all the tools, just needs some refining. wouldn't surprise me if he moves Laurie to 6 or 14 in the next few years.

I see him as our long term fullback and he reminds me more of Papenhuyzen with how he moves - absolutely electric off the mark and not afraid to play through the middle. Covers the 100m in about 11 seconds which is on par with Pap. Jordan Hill is a little quicker and hopefully Hartigan can convince him to stay.

What’s the current status with Hill? Was he signed , signing with Cutters or in talks with them? Is it due to the uncertainty around whether the comp will start up again next year?

Don't forget the 'other' Hill - Kade (halfback) no slouch either. Both Hills were tryscoring machines and scored 4 tries between them in the first game of the season. See highlights from 0.15s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGDNQp7HMUg showing him backing up which he did consistently to have 8 tries when the season was halted.

He is eligible for Jersey Flegg again in 2022 but we need to look at bringing he and others into KOE more - very few got the opportunity consistently, if at all, with the shortened season and Magpies were going well - missed opportunity but the circumstances were against them.

You've watched him a lot more than myself, but, the games I got to see this season, Kade Hill was very impressive.

Really hoping Madge starts using his Kiwi connection once Nov1 hits. Looking at those available to negotiate we got Brandon Smith, Joey Manu, CHN.

Madge also has a good relationship with Harry Grant it would seem, and he is a cult hero here even if he’s just in our hearts.

Other notables I’d be keen on for good $ would be Farnworth (GK/centre), SST and Angus.

Assuming Storm win the comp this year, that would make most those guys premiership winners, and maybe more likely to try a new challenge of sorts building from the ground up?

Would be great if we can get any of those guys particularly the Storm and Roosters crop

Sign players off contract for 2023. Then seek a release for 2022

This is something else that’s unrealistic. We need to fill the roster ASAP. You can’t put your eggs in the basket of waiting till November to sign players in 2023, which in itself will be a struggle. But then you have to haggle a release with the players club that might not happen. And by now it’s halfway through November and you still have 4 roster spots to fill

November is just over a month away. If we sign some decent players for 2023, you get optimism to sit through the crap of 2022 and you also get the off chance they come over early

We’ll be back training by November. They’ll need to sign a couple players before they go back.

That’s just super early pre season. They do that, have another break and then it gets serious

I hope not.
You see Wayne's tactics of resting players before the finals.
Parra played it well (even if they could not beat Penrith) by resting key staff.

If were Pre-seasoning in November. Were burning out in May.

I'm no physical ed guy. But perhaps do something fun like BJJ or rock climbing or Army obstacle course. Something different and physical I kind of get (with the way were going, that could be tackling!)
Not full training and drilling where people are just over it before the season starts.

Then who cares. If this stupid board can just accept that we have another down year under Madge with greener pastures on the way for 2023 with incoming recruits, then will be on the up. If they take the normal gun ho approach and sack madge halfway through the year, will be stuffed.

November 1 start throwing that money around, make a stupidly high offer for a manu or Brandon smith

Start picking over the Eels carcass that will be coughing up some good players for season '23. Then hopefully the Eels fall back to the pack next year, which I believe they will, and players will be itching to get out of that place ASAP.

Kade Hill is from Northern NSW, originally with the Titans. Jordan Hill went to Holy Cross Ryde.

Really good footballer. He always just happens to be in the right place at the right time. You'd believe it was luck but it isn't and that is what makes him so good. I'm glad we have him.

Sorry - wow thanks for the information. It's confusing! I had them the other way around.

Both very good players and fine young men.

Great footage. Not far in you can see Scolari make the break in behind the play and set up Kade Hill under the posts. Scolari has the defence, that really competitive streak about him that team mates enjoy and he is quick.

Apparently the expansion is going ahead in 2023...that is very bad news for the tigers regarding recruitment. Especially if Bennett has something to do with them
