https://youtu.be/F0pQcK8jVzo Dillon looks very good

THats actually a pretty impressive reel for a change. Hate to say it but runs like Teddy.

Dont see it

Something about the way he lowers his body height as he hits top gear.

Think Ted had more speed at his age.

Don't know about that - Dillon can motor - he's on par with Papenhuyzen for speed.

You reckon?

Absolutely, aside from Jordan Hill who spent most of the season injured, Dillon is the quickest player in the the WT Flegg team.

Going off his highlights I see a bit of Reese Walsh style in him.

I almost think he's a Tedesco/Papenhuyzen hybrid. he looks a very very good prospect. he has the strength, pace and evasion required to return the ball and make things happen off attacking shapes, but I was just as excited by his long balls, even though they need some work. he has all the tools, just needs some refining. wouldn't surprise me if he moves Laurie to 6 or 14 in the next few years.

I see him as our long term fullback and he reminds me more of Papenhuyzen with how he moves - absolutely electric off the mark and not afraid to play through the middle. Covers the 100m in about 11 seconds which is on par with Pap. Jordan Hill is a little quicker and hopefully Hartigan can convince him to stay.

What’s the current status with Hill? Was he signed , signing with Cutters or in talks with them? Is it due to the uncertainty around whether the comp will start up again next year?

WT have been late to the party in re-signing him due to his ACL injury. There's some moves planned to try and keep him as he's not quite locked into going to Mackay just yet.

Is he from Queensland originally? I know he was part of the Holy Cross footy team but do you know how long he has been in our system.

What is the lure to Mackay?

I think @Aubanon has some links to Jordan Hill? Maybe he
Can post to tell us exactly what’s going on with him

Hey Guys;

- Jordan is a local - lives in Putney, went to Gladesville Public and then Holy Cross
- Has a family link to Mackay and as they showed him some love, lined up potential suitable employment and a pathway to Cowboys he signed heads of agreement type doc
- Tigers finally got wind and made direct contact with family
- A meeting was discussed (Yet to be arranged)

That just sounds so amateur. We have a whole pathways department, and not one person spoke to a great wing prospect we had about extending his stay in the club? Even informal talks?

Are they unsure who's job it is to do this with the new structure? We need to re-sign at least half of the current flegg squad, sure some will get cherry picked, but we need to foster the relationship with tehse boys and make them want to stay together and win together.

There is more stuff that I know that im sometimes reluctant to post - dont want it to appear as though Im inflating this kid's potential (or unduly bagging the club).

The one thing I have found surprising is that he has had no direct contact from the indigenous elements of the club. What I mean by that, no discussion around work outside of footy or education.

These are the areas we keep hearing the club has made improvements in, yet here is an example of it not working. I get Covid has derailed the last 2 seasons, but sometimes we're talking about something as small as a telehpone call.

Unbelievable and amateurish this sort of thing is why we don’t progress as a club, you can only put it down to the leadership of the club ie Pascoe he needs to pull his finger out big time really could use a review of his performance

Communication is FREE but a huge downfall in many an organisation.. a phone call that’s all it takes reach out ! There seems to be issues in administration you know LAID Back attitude !

Idk about that. It’s not like the Dragons excelled when he was an assistant. I have no issue with him coming aboard though, cos it means he’s in the box seat once Madge goes. Which isn’t even an if at this point.

Dragons were nothing special with Flano there but there was the coaching issue !

I want Harry Triguboff to buy the WT franchise and remove the existing Board, Chairperson and CEO. C'mon Harry, if you really love the Tigers, the time is NOW. Your mate Sheensy is back. Do it!!

OK, it wasn't really a signing suggestion. Sorry.

Lol we would. But knowing Harry he would not wish to pay more than $5. Harry is a businessman and a frigid one at that, he would not do anything or offer assistance if it meant a loss. That’s just how he.

Not a fan of Flannagan at all to be honest. Even as an assistant at the dragons he didn't do much. Neil Henry as an attack coach is a good shout though.

Are you confident he stays?

The family just wants to see a proper plan around him development wise - not this 1 year stuff (Even if it has incentive clauses due to ACL concerns). He loves his teammates and the club and wanted to stay loyal.

Honestly - if the tigers pulled their fingers out - I would say 100%. Realistaclly, 50:50 ATM

I'm sure the inevitable downvote will come but just another example of problems with WT administration.

I think before we bag the club, we need to know why? The Pathways stuff is in place, maybe he is not in their plans? None of us know.

I appreciate what you're saying but we have someone who clearly knows the young man telling us what has happened and his account is quite credible. On that basis criticism of the club is entirely warranted.

The trouble with this is we are only hearing one side to the story. If it's true that we have interest in Jordan Hill - if - and we were so slow to react then yes that's a real worry. But if it's been considered he is not in the plans then it just comes down to personal opinion of whether or not members of the forum consider him worthy.
He looked the goods in the highlights reels but hard to make a real determination from that.

That would not surprise me. As long as Flanagan doesn't try to whiteant Madge, I have no problem with him as an assistant coach.

Maguire is well past the white ant worry !

If Flanagan come on board and did his job, then Madge would have no problems, if it doesn't work, then Flanagan may have a problem and may struggle to get another job in the NRL?

Why in the world does everyone want Henry

i agree. He's had lots of chances and screwed all of them pretty much. Not keen on Henry.

You agree with me ?!

He’s just finished being apart of arguably the worst Queensland team ever. He should be far away from ang NRL side

That would be a bit daunting for the young players. .. Sheens / Maguire/Flanagan all premiership winners and should garner a massive amount of respect and knowledge interesting !

I can’t see how Flanagan would come out looking like the bad guy. Would be no different to his time at Saints. Besides, I don’t think the assistants will be made scapegoats next time. It will be Madge’s turn methinks.

Sam McIntyre back off contract, would he be worth a look at if we couldn’t get Peachey? Aggressive ball playing lock role, maybe on a short term, low cost deal.

Would allow Twal to go back to prop and SMac could share lock with Seyfarth maybe?

He's one I wouldn't mind bringing back.

This is kinda how it looks.

Decent assistants brought in.
If Madge doesn't make the 8 in 2022, he's gone for 2023 with the assistant taking the role.

Some one like Flanno would be ideal for this move to happen.

I really can't see the Tigers making the 8 next year so this is how I predict it'll play out.
