I feel like come November 1 the Bulldogs are gonna get raided by us

is there anyone worth raiding though?
they won't release their good signings just the crud they had from the last few years

The only way to do it is to hit their juniors.
But I’m sure we won’t be the only club trying to break up the high spending first grade side. They have a full top 30.

Kurtis Morrin. Morrin was named the Club’s Jersey Flegg Player of the Year and he led from the front both on and off the field. A move to lock saw him control the middle in attack and defence, averaging 109 running metres and 21 tackles per game. His leg speed and ball playing ability through the middle, was the highlight of his game.

You'd think how hard they've recruited in first grade there should be space to raid any good juniors

Being match fit and being fit are two totally different things i can to the gym run on a treadmill for an hour no problem if I go to a training session with a local club its completely different story first 5 minutes im gassed so there is a big difference

But then your 2nd wind should kick in .....just a matter of battling through it

Would you agree that match fitness is a mental state more than a physical state?

We need to keep raising other teams young talent. Build the team from Flegg up through NSW cup. This is how we will become the next Panthers and have sustained success

Thats what i’m thinking. Start sniffing around their really good juniors and they will eventually be left with a decision between releasing a first grader early or letting the junior go.

They can’t possibly keep everyone.

The mental ability / strength to fight through the hard times is a combination of both physical and mental

But it’s not really how they’ve done is it ? Players like Crichton, luai, to’o, Leota, Cleary have all been playing together since they were 15-16. If we’re getting them from that age, great. I agree with what you’re saying but we need to first establish our own young talent who really know and get along with each other and then make additions to them.

Yes, agreed. Promote our young talent and recruit young talent in areas we are short in. Veterans to shore up first grade positions we need experience/talent in. Only short term contracts for veterans. This is the stance the club has taken

Yeah cotric or Thompson would just assist them further and be mbye all over again

Old boy from LU forum is still banging on about his rumoured signing - apparently it wasn't Peach so we've got another on the way.

2. If you believe him. He also mentions his connection is with the player and not the club.

I’d prefer the junior to be honest.

Penrith did recruit very well around their juniors. Api was always going to be an astute pick up but I bet no one there ever thought capewell would make the impact he did when he couldn’t nail down a start at cronulla. Same goes for Sorensen who’s been massive in their rotations this year

Braydon Guyan extends with The Tigers.

has massive potential. 1 year deal is a little bit disappointing though, hopeful we can lock him up long term in future.
