Parents of many Wests Tigers juniors are up in arms over the way their kids have been treated by the club.

The Tigers have brought several new recruits in from Queensland, cutting local juniors in the SG Ball Cup and other grades as a result.

To make matters worse, the club announced the squads on grand final day last Sunday week, totally spoiling the big day for the kids that missed out.

"You talk about bad timing - couldn't they have waited a day before telling the kids whose dream it was to play for the Tigers that they are no longer wanted - my boy didn't even want to watch the grand final after that," one parent told me.

Kids get cut all a time at ALL clubs but of course we make the main pages as they are running out of ideas for Tigers articles and click baits.

Yep can guarantee every club cuts young players and no day is a good day for it but for some reason it's worth publishing a story about.

Maybe it cuts deeper than at other clubs lol? Their kid couldn’t even get a run at the tigers.

What’s the difference between manly bussing thier whole team in from Minto Liverpool , and us filling out the squad with players from qld . As if to ignore the fact a fair chunk of our absolute elite juniors , we’re all shipped in from Keebra park in years gone by . Benji is just the tip of the iceberg .

There is a concerted push to oust us from Sydney, and agenda driven scum like buzz and the mole , just smell blood in the water .

Will be interesting, there stats are reasonably similar, except Liddell is 7 yrs younger, which suggests he has far longer time left in the game?

With him and Simpkins, I didn’t think the 9 was an urgent issue?

Lol, Simpkin seems happy with his Sydney girlfriend he's got.

Liddle is the one on the move though.
Be interesting to see if it happens before round 1 or if it happens for next year.

Whichever way it plays out WT need a 80 is minute hooker that can get a breather with a bench utility. We can't afford to have an interchange spot taken up by a specialist hooker because our main hooker gets gassed too often.

Hodgson is an interesting one. 32 and has had some injury issues but is a massive step up on Liddle. He's also a competitor and a bit of a leader which we desperately need. He'll also provide good mentoring for Simpkin who can take over the role in a couple of years.

Liddle wasn't impressive at all in his first full season without injury, and wouldn't be surprised for the club to move him on.
