Well it's only a few days since Peachey signed, and he specifically mentioned the coach in his comments. And Canberra were keen on him too, so he had options.

To be fair no new recruit in any sport has ever said that their new coach sucked.

But to be fair he didn't have to come here.

Where else was he going to go

Canberra were reported as keen. Or any Super League club would have lapped him up. If he didn't want to play for Madge he wouldn't have signed.

Hodgson provides direction and game management from hooker, it's something we lack with run first halves. His kicking game is top notch - both long and short. I think he's is an asset for us if he is to come. Our spine lacks authority and direction.

I probably would keep Liddle to play off the bench for next year and give Simpkin another year in cup for 22'.

On the basis that most here want Hodgson for his "leadership" based on him quitting as captain because he hates his coach, this makes sense.

Can only think that Liddle has finally got the offer from the Dogs/eels that he always wanted!
Truth is,after considerable investment by WTs and even more patience,hes barely an NRL standard 9 as it is...and if so,for only 60 mins...and unfortunately Simpkin isnt there yet
Hogson was the one of the best 9s in the comp a year or two agobut ,isnt anything like the same player in 2021 and Ricky rightly started Starling most of the year
Not sure how much of his recent form is Ricky burnout vs body burnout
Who wld wanna be an NRL coach...!

What a ridiculous post. He’s been injured half the time he’s been here. And it’s been a lot longer than a year since Hodgson was one of the best 9’s in the comp. At 32, don’t expect him to recapture that form either.

Considering he got fired he should be grateful anyone is interested. I think if we did actually contact him it would of been a low salary to prove himself and he wanted more. We don't seem to be paying overs anymore weather we like it or not.
