What are your thoughts on Joey Manu as a FB?

I personally think that is his best position, and has a really high workrate from fullback. Big, strong and has really good support play.

He's a super talent. You can play him FB, Wing, Centre, 5/8 and he would be one of your best on the park.

Would take Joey Manu over Jack Wighton any day of the week. Even with a Latrell badge of honour

Where did the Wighton rumour come from? I’ve seen several people bring it up the last couple of days.

We have Musgrove for another 2 years so I'm hoping him dropping out of favour is all to do with his injury rather than a lack of intent or desire. Hopefully he can find his form and fitness and bring some mongrel to our prop rotation.I believe he's capable of doing a job for us if his head is in the right place.

Not getting my hopes up but apparently this week is the last week for Raiders to make a deal or WE move on..
Looking at there rosters they are not in any salary cap problems so my gut feel is they will keep him this year.

The Canterbury Bulldogs have reportedly issued John Asiata a letter of termination due to his refusal to get the COVID-19 vaccination.

Wasn’t on that much money anyway no real loss for them they’ll probably sign an off contract forward to take his place

This is how Gus will balance the cap, same way as Panthers by sacking players that have a some misdemeanour against them.

I think it makes sense for us to put a deadline on Hodgson.
- His style at dummy half is very different to our current hookers where he stands up and engages the marker. If he comes here sooner there would be more time for him to work with our forwards on their timing.
- The situation with him and Ricky is untenable. They want it to happen and therefore we hold the upper hand.
- but if it doesn’t happen we can then move onto other recruitment decisions.

If we get all the players as flying about the trap, we might make a impression next year, certainly 2023 when the youngsters should be charged up on top of that. Hopefully get some loyalty from Stef and Laurie et al. We picked them out of obscurity anyway, given them a good opportunity which they’ve made the most of. Hopefully that all counts.
