Things are getting interesting at the Dolphins. They’ve missed out on half a dozen big names, and all that’s left is Brandon Smith and Kalyn Ponga. Who’d have thought three weeks into being free to sign players for 2023, that we’d have made a bigger impact than them.

I reckon Mikaele and Joe O will end up there

Talau I thought only re-signed for 1 year, so maybe he has ambitions of heading to the Dolphins too.

not apart from Joseph Manu, Herbie Farnworth would be an astute purchase and by the sounds of things we've identified him as such. Tolutau Koula and Jack Howarth are two of the younger brigade that are both going to be exceptional first graders in a few years that I'd be looking at also. apart from that it's pretty scarce. I still live in hope Ogden is upgraded to a development deal or top 30 spot, I really do think he's that good.

Suffice to say it’s not looking good when your big signings are Peachy and Hastings. Least 2023 is looking okay.

Wests Tigers pursuit of Josh Hodgson is officially over with the hooker expected to see out the remaining season on his contract.

Talks between the Tigers and the Raiders have formally broken down despite months of negotiations.

The Tigers were keen on bringing the English international to the club for the next two years and Hodgson was keen to link up with coach Michael Maguire.

However the clubs have been unable to find middle ground in how they would split Hodgson’s final year of his contract – worth about $800,000.

The Tigers were keen to pay $500,000 but the Raiders wanted more of a contribution. In the end, talks at this stage have broken down.

Hodgson has already returned to pre-season training with Canberra. The ex-Canberra skipper will act as an insurance policy for Tom Starling who has an ongoing court appearance.

The Tigers have Jacob Liddle, Jake Simpkin and even new recruit Jackson Hastings as potential dummy half options.

Hopefully Farah puts a lot of time in with Liddle, Simpkin as well as Rua and Anjoul over the off season.

Liddle looks like he could have a really break out season if he can stay healthy and focused. Club needs to show some faith in him too if we don't have any hooker alternatives.

Simpkin to play back up , get skilled up in NSW Cup... Looks a real star.

Also keen to see the young guns developed, in Rua and Anjoul....also Tannous, who's more a half.

We had an opportunity to trade him for Addo Car.... we said no.

We didn't hear about any clubs wanting Twal and he re signed.

As everyone knows , I'm not a fan of Talau.... but it seems he's very much in the clubs plans going forward.
He's one, if you like him, I wouldn't be concerned about losing.
