With a combined total worth of 1.45m p.a, I hope we'd be paying significantly less than that so we could securely tie up Stefano.

Is there a list on the forum with the estimated contract values of our playing roster (including our future recruits)?
I'd love to know what we're paying everyone.

We are talking about next season, Sheens and everyone else has said Stefano is a priority that should happen very soon?

Sheens was quoted saying they were about to extend him. With nearly 12 months until other clubs can talk to him, no reason to believe why we won’t. Negotiations are clearly at an advanced stage. End of 2025 would be a great result for the club. He could be anything by the end of that contract.

That 2019 footage of Gildart has got me excited. I know it was only the attack side of things, but I see a fair bit of Lomax in him. I think he'll go well as a classic type centre, beating his man with pace, guile or a pass, rather than trying to be a run over the top of him type like Best from the Knights.
I like the idea of us getting Thompson and the Dolphins getting Paulo - leaves both the Dogs and the Eels that bit weaker. I think the Dolphins will be more like the Cowboys entering the league than the Storm, in that they will take a few years to get going/be strong in their roster. So them getting a few older blokes closer to the end shouldn't worry/hurt us too much.

I've just explained why (Quite clearly) But here it goes again....

The numbers thrown around the Dogs look to be only paying 150k of Cotric (Less in 23 when Paulo comes), That leaves them with 500 to throw at Paulo - Straight up, Asiata is on Minimum 120k... Paulo is getting anywhere from 7-800, They've got middles in Vaughan & King coming off, They're not 100k light in cap room - But even if they were, They'd easy find it.

Cotric is gone, It's only a matter of where... They don't need to lose Thompson at all.

Those figures only work if they are under or on the cap amount and by all reports they are nowhere near it and need to shed players to become cap compliant for 2023. You would have to know how much they have to lose to get under the cap for 2023 before you even factor in paying 700k to Paulo.

Totally agree mate, several people are fed up with the same agitators who big note themselves, don't worry about it, your opinion is wanted and appreciated. I scroll past those posters and don't entertain them and if they bag you just ignore them because they want conflict.

I just don’t see Thompson being worth the drama. He’d definitely be a good signing, but he’s not that good where we should spend months haggling.

Gould and Sheens are very experienced. I'm sure Gould will try to get every last cent from the WTs for his players. I have no doubt Sheens will attempt to put as much pressure on the Bulldogs in terms of the salary cap. You would believe they need to find homes for some players to accommodate all their purchases. Letting the Dogs stew for a little bit will do us no harm.
