I wrote that last night after many beers.
My info is very dodgy and for all i know it could be just old Papali’ news, as it comes from someone who know FA about NRL at a BBQ.

At my family Xmas party BBQ chat yesterday. My brother is a Parra supporter and a cousin (who is an AFL supporter but does know someone connected to the WTs) He was telling us the Tigers had signed a Parra player.
We (my brother -Parra supporter and I said) “yeah Papali’i.
Unfortunately this guy know FA about NRL. “ said, hmm not sure it that was the name. It was polynesian though. Me and my brother started drilling him. I said “was it Paulo” ect. he wasn’t sure. Said it sounded more Islander than that.
Anyway DT journalist have run articles on less than this., I’m holding out some hope at it was someone other than Papali’i.

Rumour coming from a cousin who doesn't watch league or know the name of the person we've reportedly signed is the reason this thread has cracked 7562 pages. Hope he's right though, suck it Parra

I would rather he goes anywhere than come here.His lack of self control on the field is going to give him lengthy suspensions in the future and at his overinflated wage would be terrible value for us.The dogs (Gould) can see that he was paid far too much money and are trying to offload him to anybody they can

100% to cover losing NAS and he would easily be one of their best players I guess Storm are willing to pay majority of his contract if true

He’ll be a different player at the Storm under Bellamy he’ll be more disciplined he won’t be suspended as much

My son is in the bulldogs under 14 development squad. They had training at Belmore today followed by watching the first grade team train (Luke Thompson was there). Interesting to see Barrett and even Phil Gould there. Barrett had almost nothing to do in the training session but pave up and down. Interesting to see how important the trainers are and assistant coaches as they were heavily involved.

That's awesome.
Hopefully he goes as far as he wants within the sport !

Hopefully seeing him play for the Cedars someday soon my brah.

Thanks mate, appreciate the kind words. Not sure how far he will go but there are some special talents in the junior system that will do plenty in this sport.

I guess it would be upto the NRL to decide the VIC government have made it mandatory to get vaccinated so Storm just following protocol he can’t train with the team due to not being vaxed so the only place he can go is NSW if he wants to keep playing footy not sure what the vaccine status is in ACT or NZ but his contract with the Storm ends in 23 so if another club is willing to take him Storm might be willing to let him go if they do sign Thompson because they’ll just be paying him the whole time for nothing or the NRL might say he cannot play until his contract with them is up since really it’s not their choice it’s the government making it mandatory

He's currently on too much money but if you get dogs to chip in enough to make it reasonable he's a good signing.
