Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Gives us an out, bloke has been a disappointment on and off the field. Madge and the club have stuck by him and he continuously let's our brand down.

No it doesn't

The recency bias towards Musgrove is astounding. Two poor performances while struggling with injury and all of a sudden he's a dud signing and we gotta tear up his contract for a driving offence (won't happen)

Majority of his games he's been good for us. He provides good impact off the bench, causes defenders a lot of problems and his post contact metres are excellent. His main issue has been injury which is out of everyone's control, hopefully he gets fit and plays a whole season this year!

Before his injury against the Cowboys in 2020 he was actually playing really good footy but injuries have hurt him lately hopefully he’s injury free and gets back to good footy I won’t write him off just yet but he needs to get his attitude off the field right

To be honest he needs to be spoken to by management and told that his actions keep on giving the club a poor image and put him on his final warning. The club are trying to promote a positive image in a crowded Sydney market,he is not helping at all

He's clearly a moron off the field but I agree, was playing good footy before his injuries.

He probably will get a stern talking too and maybe might get a final notice but his contract won’t get torn up for driving with a suspended license no NRL player will be stood down for that unless they injured or lulled someone during the process

Attitude stinks. Not a smart guy. Too many stuff ups now. Madges worst decision to hand him a long contract IMO.

wonder if Tim will get us a hard edged Pommie prop before kick off

You read my mind mate. Have you done any research, is there one?

Madge is desperate to have Musgrave regain the mongrel he showed when at Souths. Charging at the line without fear and getting post contact metres is an area where we lack in.
I would think Sheens would have read the riot act to him regarding his latest indiscretion. (well one would hope)
As he said recently "I'm not afraid to upset people"

I have Musgrove way ahead of other forwards like Twal (Mr One-Dimensional).
I think with some game fitness under his belt Musgrove will combine well with Stef to stiffen the front row.

Ok he has made yet another dumb mistake. On a scale of one to ten it’s a low range one, but it’s not a good look for the club and it’s not a good look for our cooperate partners.

As a professional sportsman you just can not keep putting yourself and the club in the spotlight for the wrong reasons. There are plenty of players out there who would jump at the chance to get a NRL contract and act in a professional manner on and off the field.

If it was a one off, different story, but this guy just doesn’t get it. Also rightly or wrongly clubs tend to be a little more bending with a top notch player and ZM is not a top notch player at present

10 years of missing the 8 lets our brand down more

Zane Musgrove caught driving with a suspended license apparently

Surely it’s time to cut this bloke loose. He’s either in trouble, injured or under done.

FFS, the original comment said "apparently". But yet, the pile-on begins, from those who I'm sure have never been stupid or made a mistake in their lives. Model citizens all of them, no doubt. As if.

Okay mate. I’ve made mistakes and guess what they cost me my job. He’s made a heap and maybe it’ll cost him his job.

I don't see the connection with him, apparently, breaking a traffic/driving rule and that being justification for him being sacked as a professional NRL player. That's my point.

Mate this is his third or fourth incident. And let’s me honest driving without a license is a deliberate and know offence. He lost his licence for driving under the influence (if I remember correct) so it shows he doesn’t care for the consequences of his actions so maybe losing his job will help him in life

You’re not just saying this cos he’s provided little value, and you see this as an opportunity to cut him loose are you? ?

If course that comes into it.

If course that comes into it.

Then that immediately disqualifies it then. It shouldn’t matter who it is. Everyone should be treated the same in these cases.

To an extend I agree but unfortunately we both know that’s not now things work. If this was he’s first offence you could give him more work. An employee is always going to be willing to offer additional support to someone who provides more output.

He’s not going to get punted over a minor offence.
