Haven't had a decent centre since Simona and Lawrence. Not helping, useless.
It would be a great idea, but for our history of turning good players into average ones.If I were tigers I’d go hard for both Walsh and Haas, hoping to maybe get one
There are some centres who can create a sense of ‘stand out of your chair’ expectation when you see the ball getting passed in their direction. Gildart could be one of those, but for now his mistake rate is too high. The fact Gildart is first choice centre is indicative of where we sit on the ladder.
I thought Momirovski was ok. With AD the other one.Haven't had a decent centre since Simona and Lawrence.
Club has done nothing to address this... for years.
Just expect kids like AJ and Talau to succeed and then bring in Gildart who needs time in cup and expect the same.
Massive overlook from the club.
Can we PLEASE recruit some legit centres !?
You could see it coming a mile away Gildart being a failure. All the highlight videos posted of him over the summer were only building up massive disappointment. And it proves that a lot of people have no appreciation of just how much of a step up the NRL is. At least Hastings has played NRL before so he can somewhat adapt. He won’t be one of the competitions premier halves like he was in the ESL, but he should get a pass mark. Gildart though was always going to end in tears.Haven't had a decent centre since Simona and Lawrence.

You’re never going to jump out of your chair for a player who can barely out run a 70 year old women. And this guy supposedly dominated the ESL. Imagine how bad some of his opponents must have been. There are some centres who can create a sense of ‘stand out of your chair’ expectation when you see the ball getting passed in their direction. He can run - just don’t expect him to hold the ball while he does… it’s bound to come out somehowYou’re never going to jump out of your chair for a player who can barely out run a 70 year old women. And this guy supposedly dominated the ESL. Imagine how bad some of his opponents must have been.
Would you like a list, that we didn't see a future with, this page isn't big enoughPretty hard to pick ‘em young. For all the youth that come through with huge wraps there are a really small percentage that kick on.
I agree hugh there's a huge difference between ESL and NRL, I'm prepared to give him more timeGildart has had 3 games, I think he needs more time, pommy player take time to adjust. The dogs wanted to punt Thompson after three games but now he has value
I think Gildart has given some spark in attack. Still work to be done, but he is doing OK.He has split them a couple of times. It's just the last pass that is going astray. Roberts has also looked sharp.
I reckon they both deserve a fair few more chances.
Most poms do struggle here for a while the only exception was Ellery HanleyCurrier, Schofield to name a few more , he needs time
Gildart looks decent in attack but the backline is all flops at the moment. You could see it coming a mile away Gildart being a failure. Credit to Nofo tho, he has been solid.
The injured players, AD aside - who is not a centre imo aren't much chop either.
Talau sucks and I don't see it with AJ either, happily release all of them if it meant we could sign 2 FG ready centred and maybe one or two cup like back up centres.
I think the club has been trying to do to sign a decent centre for a while but there has simply been no on the market willing to come hereGildart looks decent in attack but the backline is all flops at the moment.

Which first grade centers will come here.Talau sucks and I don't see it with AJ either, happily release all of them if it meant we could sign 2 FG ready centred and maybe one or two cup like back up centres
Curtis Scott maybe 😉Which first grade centers will come here.
Need to continue to invest in youth.
I'd like to think you are wrong about AJ. I think he will come good, fingers crossed!Gildart looks decent in attack but the backline is all flops at the moment.

Outside backs’ pay rate has been dropping too. If the nrl was a circus, they would be the high wire act, and the people come to see the lions and tigers. There is a general lack of good centres available right across the competition. Just doesn't seem to be a position that players aspire to play.
