This player was pretty good, everything a winger should be - super quick, strong, a great finisher from all parts of the field and prepared to put his body on the line in defence. Why wasn't he signed to a long term contract?

He was criticised for his defence at the time but he went in really hard and had no fear of hurting himself or the opposition players.

All he really needed was to be taught some tackling techniques and reads and I think he ended up okay in that department after he left us.

Just another one that got away. God we are dumb.

Unfortunately nothing that I feel is worth sharing at this point in time. Sheens has taken control of all player movement (with consultation from Madge) and does not share too much. However, based on how the club has operated previously, this is a good thing. Rather than just going after anyone that is available, it finally looks like they are intentionally targeting players of need - much like the acquisitions of Api and Papalii. It's a waiting game at this point to see who comes available before the June deadline and at the end of the season.

Maybe, though don't we currently have two players out long term because of their second ACL injuries and another rehabilitating alongside them that has also been ruled out for the season.

It will take significant improvement on the field first. Players just won’t flock because of the coach.

Something needs to change GNR, we all gave maguire the benefit of the doubt because he inherited ivans roster, but its his roster now and he's put this team inline for our first spoon

I get what you are stating. I think you are being unrealistic.

If we offer a player 300k and he is being offered 150k by his current team I reckon that player will come.

We also have advantages getting players from Sydney clubs because they are already located here. That is why we got Tamou and I'm sure it played a role in getting Api and Papalli as well. They don't have to relocate their families.

I think May is a realistic chance, as when To o comes back from injury its back to regies for May. Now that he has got a taste of first grade the realisation of being stuck behind To o might have him thinking of going elsewhere. Make him a good offer,as I don't know if we are resigning Tommy Talau for next year.

The Cows wouldn’t give any player to get Luc half a season early, let alone Holmes.

Don't think this will happen imo to many moving parts. Drinkwater for Lucy is more imaginable unless you have good oil?

I don’t expect this to popular, but idk why we don’t enquire about Jarrod Croker. Clearly out of favour, and may not play first grade at the Raiders again. He could plug a hole for a year or two in a position we are ridiculously weak in. Plus he’s a gun goal kicker, another plus.

Most players that could work out don't want to come to this destination (frustration) club eg. Luke Lewis.

They know that they would have to work their guts out to even have a remote chance of any sort of success at this club, so either they pass up on coming or if they do come, treat it as an early retirement and just go through the motions knowing that this is their last contract, why knock yourself out.

One would have hoped that Api and Papali'i signing would have opened the door for others to come, but while we are not winning games and copping crap in the media I just don't see this being something that is going to happen in a hurry and having new teams coming into the competition certainly doesn't make things any easier.

Doesn’t help the bloke charged with creating our vision for a better future currently has his feet up. Papali’i and Api have taken note. Time to chill.
