Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I don't see any clubs getting him beyond 2023.
His stint is coming to an end.
Retirement village 🏡
Agree.
In his day was very under rated around the league, had a huge engine, rarely missed games, put opposition halves under heaps of pressure and always protected his own. Prototype body guard back rower.
Those days are very much in the rear view mirror though...

Angus doesnt get much ball running off walker they tend to swing it to Momo and Tupou he would be loving getting early ball from Jacko or Brooks one of the best line runners in the game
Agree I think he would be a great fit...
Do you have any update on him and if the offer has been done?

Rep level player in his prime for a deal that's expensive, but not back-breaking. Crichton's a no-brainer.

Crichton and Papali'i would be the best pair of edge backrowers in the league. With the addition of Koroisau and the continued development of our current players, including the younger players and those entering/in their primes, we'd have one of the better packs in the league if healthy. It will be especially the case with Hastings leading them around the park.

NRL are missing James Roberts, i realise he was on a Train and Trial to start the pre season but assumed as he has played a few games he was upgraded to an NRL contract as before round 10 you couldn't be selected without an exemption.

Yes it is missing JTJ, I didn't look at names when I counted them on the NRL tracker, would be helpful if they matched. (y)

Every signing can be good at the right price. We are going to get injuries and NRL standard depth is needed…rarely is that considered in signings discussions.
Not many teams get the balance right. Under the cap system, the more NRL standard budget priced players you have the more you can pay for elite players

So we loose Hoffman early on in his contract year, wait half a year for Bulldogs to pay a portion of Nadens salary then sign him up in the vacant spot still keeping squad spot 30 available.
Pretty good business.
As long as business isn’t winning footy games

Any legs to the suggestion that Burto might want to follow Naden to WT?

Unhappy with Trent’s demise is the whisper.
