Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

It's bad enough that Radley is not going to market, just taking what the Roosters will offer him.

He wasn't awful at Fullback playing for Souths during the finals before he joined us.

People focus alot on the speed aspect but they also need to be a 5/8th & general.
The quality fullbacks have a super high work rate with the ball, ball skills with ability to break tackles creating doubt in defensive lines.

Manu & Latrell aren't players known as speedy but their other attributes tackle breaker & ball players are what drive them as being successful.
Their heaps faster, bigger ; stronger, then what we had.

This kid is as they say these days "OG" !!. If he keeps going on the trajectory path that he is currently on, I'd say the back end of 2024 season we might see him getting a few runs in the top grade. Very talent kid, great training ethics, a speedy, creative runner with ball in hand, good distribution out of half, gusty and effective defender. Definitely a star in the making, one to hold onto, if we can hold off all the clubs from pouching him.
Apparently the raiders threw big money at da Silva and he turned them down to resign with us long term

First grade standard at the Tigers, not the standard of top 8 side in the comp. That's why we got the spoon. We all pray with some additions to the pack , that this will change. They all don't have 2024 contracts as yet, so the club does not think they are all first grade standard , neither do I .
Maybe 2 get extended, but i doubt all four will be here in 2024
Staines played for Penrith, AD played for us and south's, Brooks is a first grade player and so is Laurie.

FYI, they will be first picked next season.

So he’s the original gangster?

Never saw Robbie play at the same age but Da Silva is a gun.

Will definitely be the Koroisau replacement when he retires.

He’s only 17, but is already training with NRL this pre-season.
Out of curiosity Is da Silva on a train and trial contract or is he in the top 30 as a 17 year old.

I started writing a spiel and it was all dribble.

We either recruit better players or we just have the 4 of them fight it out it for the 3 positions. Maybe you can try Doueihi at lock but I don't like the idea. He isn't a ball player like Hastings was. He is a runner with poor defense.

Maybe one of them will prove they are high caliber NRL players over the course of the season but I don't have much confidence in our spine for next season.

Recruiting Moses or Welsby would mean we have 4 players into two positions and at least that way there is more competition for those key roles but I'm not sure there is a huge difference between them.
Yes I agree. Strong forwards are important but try scorers abound in the backs. Some improved quality in the backs is a must before the season begins.

Ok today I have a feeling we will get mosses. I’m gonna play this game each day, changing my opinion each day. We’ll see where I land!
Right from the start of the Moses thing I thought it would turn out like all the others. I am now thinking maybe this will have a happy ending. Just think Issac Moses has three contracts all tired up in this deal, MM, Brooks and Bateman. So he has a lot to gain along with the players
