I was with my mate last night who’s brother works at the Knights - said they can’t believe we traded Hastings for Klem as Klem was always gonna come - they just applied some pressure to the Tigers and we folded.

We are the wooden spooners. We finished a long last and haven’t played a game since. We were down 0-40 at halftime the last time we played. Maybe a touch early for the champagne.

Hastings is a loss but didn't fit into the current squads set up.....balance wise.
These signings are a statement we are thinking semis next year.......something we the fans, the club and those in development need.
Bateman may spit the dummy year two. But it won't matter as we will be a winning team by then....and he won't hang around if we're not so it's a win win.
The signings are for the now.

i really don’t want to be vindicated next year and I hope everyone on here gives me plenty of crap when we make the finals ….
But over paying, signing players longer than needed, and trading our best players is a reflection of this club.
People can bag me for being negative but we won the spoon… we are mediocre because we celebrate our mediocrity.

We would have been paying big bucks towards Brooks leaving … and zilch for Hastings.
Wrong choice in the end .. in my opinion.
We now have a news bunch of guys who hate to lose .. and Brooks who is accustomed to it.
Madge got the big two signings.
Staines was stuck in reserve grade at Penrith and was looking for a chance, Klemmer was reportedly unhappy and wanted out of Newcastle and Bateman was looking for $$$ and has an Aussie wife.
Great to get them but we had the money … and money talks.
