I know.
Bad business lol
Yeah.yeah .. Nofo is the worst deal I have seen since Russell Packer
Yeah.
Im just super cynical until I see some improvement.
I feel like this year is tile last year.
Everyone was living in hope with Sheens.
And now everyone is living in hope with benji.
But I will say I do feel benji has the best possible chance of signing big name players… compared to last coaches since Ivan… but still man, we’ve got AJ, Seyfarth, a 33yr old half back, no genuine guns in the back line (Bula is no Latrell yet)…
When you look at every other team I don’t know which team we are better than. And if people say we are better than some teams it would be 50/50 at best.
Long climb
That's not what > means. It means better then.Mansfield > Staines TICK
Reilly > Olam
Simpkin > Luai
Bradman Best in 15
Then we'd be cooking!
They ain't exactly banging the door down to join the tigers.“Good business” is not something people should throw around to a club coming off two wooden spoons with a rookie coach, a divisive management team and a joke of a CEO.
And certainly not resigning a fringe first grader. Lol.
Do you even know what we paid him?
He’s worth $250k per year. Give or take.
Mathematically yes. But I assume what he meant is "leads to" which is actually -->That's not what > means. It means better then.
Well if he was worth saving then Bellamy wouldn’t drop him, or ket him go.Think his been playing with injury past recent seasons. But agree it's a risky swap where WT usually get the short end of the stick
Not. He will be a Cup prop. Now does the signing of the Fiji prop mean there may be some possibility in Stef leaving, or not ?
Whole new look cup team for 2024 by the looks of it.Not. He will be a Cup prop.
Ok thanks. I like Stef and hope to see him mature into a tough prop.Not. He will be a Cup prop.
I think Manly had a change of heart and resigned him I believeThe other option I'd entertain is recruiting Karl Lawton from Manly as a bench utility for hooker, backrow & lock.
1 - Manly did allow him to seek other clubs recently for his 2024 contract (though did recently say they are happy to keep him).
2 - It would allow us to release Jake Simpkin if he has a club willing to take his 2024 contract.
3 - It would allow Tallyn to build reps in NSW Cup as a starting hooker.
4 - Lawton reportedly is very professional & good clubman as well as a solid player as a hooker or backrower.
5 - It would allow us to position Sam Fainu as our main backup backrower (if an injury to IP or Bateman) with Lawton staying as bench utility.
Lawton brings more versatility than Simpkin at probably the same $$$ value and would give us more depth in the backrow position.
yeah .. Nofo is the worst deal I have seen since Russell Packer
To go with new coach.Whole new look cup team for 2024 by the looks of it.
I hope you’re right. The best we can hope for is he gets motivated and finds some sort of form again. As it stands no one is going to take over his contract so even if we release him we are still going to lose on the deal.I get Noff has dropped.
But he'll still give a solid performance on the end of a decent backline that squares up the defence.
Do Melbourne need another winger? I would take both Coates and Warbrick over Tupou.Bradman Best rejected us quietly quite a while ago. He was always remaining at Newcastle.
For what it’s worth - I got a text today from a friend saying that the Olam deal is done. I guess we’ll find out soon.
Blore very open to the idea of going to Melbourne. Probably will be the swap.
Melbourne originally also asked for Junior Tupou but was denied quickly by our management. Expect to see Melbourne put a bid in very soon I reckon. They like him a lot apparently.
