Find it hard to believe that a player who's injured and not even been training, would get so upset about another junior coming in to first grade that he'd just want to walk out on his contract. It's not as if he's been overlooked, he's sitting on the sidelines. He's a year away from competing for first grade so current form is irrelevant to him.

Unless he has offers from another club that have him looking to get his noes out of joint at any opportunity....

That guy is hit and miss, but does generally know more than most about juniors.

He did claim that Haumole would 1000% be at the Tigers, he's also firmly in the Fulton + Pascoe + Lee camp, so may have had some access to knowledge removed.

I'd back Benji to have a few words with him to calm the nerves... It may be that Luai, Galvin and Latu is too much competition for the kid to bear, but who knows what may happen with injuries, form etc. I could see Large becoming a great fullback.

We definitely can't afford to lose him or meekly give him up to another club. He's one of the very few fast juniors we have, Makasini is much more about power than pace, Large is a combo of both.

Yeah I follow that person on Twitter too, has some good intel about juniors at both Manly & Tigers. I actually thought he/she must be related to Fulton or close to the family with some of the info at times.

I doubt he actually cares about playing fullback, just a means to ask for more money.

Similar to Addo-Carr, Crichton and other outside backs shopping themselves as fullbacks for the money.

Why would he deliberately miss training?

It’s simple, if someone plays reserve grade for 4 seasons their residual value is not good, where if they head to the UK now they could potentially be on a good contract for the next 7-8 years possibly longer.
Something has to give as Wests Tigers cannot afford to have the contract t money being paid for Sullivan wasting away in reserve grade.

We lose him and we will go further backwards, he’s a must’ve-signing and it will probably cost us up around 900k per season, but we have no choice as there are no decent front row replacements on the horizon should we lose him.

Stay here and you will not play NRL for the next 4 seasons. As WT do not want to have 500k per season hanging over their Salary Cap the option is to give reason for WT to be able to remove the 500k per season from their Salary Cap and give JS a payout so he’s financially better off moving forward.
Missing training like Nofa did would be a solution as it has proven to be a good enough reason to terminate a contract.

If he wants to leave then leave … no need to put on a show missing training just because that’s how it played out with Nofo…

Telling a player that would be complete bullshit and unprofessional. What are they going to say? “So mate, regardless how well you play in KOE, you’ll never see first grade again at our club”. As if.
