He had them leading the comp before Covid finished the season earlyGardiner did a good job coaching our NSW cup side think we were 2nd or 3rd on the ladder the year he coached them.
Now show me your best forward pack to give them time and space for the backs to move.As I’ve stated a few weeks ago…. this isn’t dead. Certainly not from To’o’s side at least.
1. Bula
2. To’o
3. Turuva
4. Olam
5. Skelton
6. Galvin
7. Luai
Sign me up.
Had completely forgotten him..his results were always above par,and seemed popular with the players....never got a look in as interim coach when Madge leftHe had them leading the comp before Covid finished the season early
Our forward pack is definitely a problem, but with that back 5 the job of the forwards changes significantly. You can probably afford to be a little lighter as long as they are tight defensively. Now show me your best forward pack to give them time and space for the backs to move.
I had to look him up. 6.2 108kgs centre, decent run metres, but bugger all LBA, TA or offloads. Not much point having a winger outside him.think we will get for 2026 Ali Leiataua from the Warriors
10 years of complete failure is not the experience we want or needHodgson has been coaching in league and union for more then 10 years. He isn't exactly inexperienced in coaching ranks - in fact that would make him our most experienced coach
I think they’d be content to let that sort of contract move on…Panthers are not a club to be walked over IMO. They will want something/someone in return or will simply deny To’o any chance of leaving
Come on mate at least out some hope into benji turning this around hahaHad completely forgotten him..his results were always above par,and seemed popular with the players....never got a look in as interim coach when Madge left
Dark horse to replace Benji..maybe as interim from round 10 next year
There are no standouts
There’s not a lot of movement atm. I think by mid November we will have a better idea. Even though we are unlikely to get any one from the finals sides some domino’s might need to fall. This quite period is worrying me , thought we would have got a couple more forwards by now , can’t see us getting any one from the teams in the finals , so why is it taking so long , are we stuck waiting to move players on , or targets have got cold feet . If it’s spots why not just do what the dogs do sign , sign , sign then work it out , they seem to have that down pat
Player recruitment and retention would be a lot more complicated than what many of us think. This quite period is worrying me , thought we would have got a couple more forwards by now , can’t see us getting any one from the teams in the finals , so why is it taking so long , are we stuck waiting to move players on , or targets have got cold feet . Kobe hetherington news about visiting COE etc that's about itThis quite period is worrying me , thought we would have got a couple more forwards by now , can’t see us getting any one from the teams in the finals , so why is it taking so long , are we stuck waiting to move players on , or targets have got cold feet . I don't get how To'o is even possible with Jack Bird coming.Maaaan, if we somehow get To'o I'd cry happy tears. Been lacking in that area forever.
Watch the doco undisputed on panthers. The families are so close. Wives crying when a player leaves. We need more of that. I’d love Bizza if trueForm a family member of his he is not happy there and it's all to do with money and promises to him
I love you brain, but it’s hard to follow sometimes dude 😂Who are highest paid players? Are they wingers? If not? What did they do? Past 3 seasons?
If they win 4 GF’s why not follow your bro and some $?All I'm saying is Brian To'o has twice now shut down any speculation of him wanting to leave & the Penrith CEO has come out & shut down any talk of him leaving either. He's contracted to Penrith till 2027 & there is no chance in hell they'll be letting him go early. Just saying so we don't have to see 5 pages of imaginary backlines with Brian To'o in them.
Mate, have you watched him for the last 5 years and playing SOO?! He is worth 10x any winger we have trotted out since the club began.Warbrick will have eclipsed him by mid next year...
Not just Physically.
(Has already IMO)
To'o is a one trick pony - Can make dirty yards....
Limited Speed Wise, Limited in the Air.
I'd rather have a Winger that doesn't make quite as many yards - but is faster, bigger and better with the high ball.
He just doesn't get challenged in the air as much at Penrith as he would elsewhere simply because most teams that play Penrith are kicking from well inside their own half.
Overall,
The Panthers game makes him look much better than he is,
And he costs too much. Anyone talking about buying a Winger for 900k is on Crack.
- We'd be buying a contract the panthers could do without.
