Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Don't be surprised if the signings are not big names... we severely lack depth, and signing a few blokes who are of NRL standard just to fill in for a few weeks would actually be a massive help
It's got an underwhelming feeling written all over it.

Tyrone may is a bigger body and has a pretty good passing game…he’d be a depth low cost signing that would apply pressure to our bench players while keeping one of our best players happy.

Taylan may is a more legitimate starter at either centre or wing and again will keep one of our best players happy while maintaining our family values.

Plus a gun right edge forward and a veteran half to help mentor Latu and allow us to not rush his progress would be two key signings that will turn us into a legitimate top 8 side.

Think we will get KPP and Tylan May,both of whom wld be beneficial to our squad
Have no interest in DCE or Reynolds..we dont have a premiership window next year + we already have an expensive halves mentor..
we need to build for the future rather than buy 36 yos for a year or two
Thats Latu and maybe Bud, both of whom will be proven or disproven later this season

Has a long look at a potential top 30 for next year.

We definitely need a backup half.
We can't rely on AD to do that role.

Unless Sullivan is coming back (I don't think he will) ... we need an option.

Tyrone May could be that guy.
All three May bros at the club.

Latu is the guy moving forward.

I heard he was on $ 450 at Knights , could be wrong but 700 / 800 won’t happen , Richo won’t go that deep , he is pretty smart and with Galvins spare $ 1 million we could get 2 very solid players
Do we have Galvins money spare?
Richo said he had to manoeuvre other contracts and I thought he was saying some players would be moved on, to afford the salary for Lachlan.

keep in mind what Richardson said about having money ready to take advantage of cap squeezes at other clubs. I think you'll find that's where a few of these signings will come from.
Wonder if the dogs will have to release anyone to re-sign Sexton.

We all know Knights will face some pressure and KPP is the move.

Wonder who else we could get...

But we still have a Western Suburbs side.

So much for the club not trying to become totally the Magpies again.
As an old Balmain supporter, if it's all been funded by the Magpies side of the joint venture then why should Balmain have a team. If Balmain wanted a team, they should've run things better and not got themselves in the position they ended up in

With the Bears coming in 2027, i'd love to see them throw stupid money at Galvin on Nov 1 and have him walk away from his handshake deal with Parramatta. If there is any manager that would encourage their client to walk away from a handshake deal for more money, its Moses.
And with the Bears coming in 2027, we have the following off contract Nov 1 we should extend especially TDS & Jeral asap ...

Jeral Skelton
Tallyn Da Silva
Starford To'a
Luke Laulilii
Kit Laulilii
Sione Fainu

Api & Jack Bird also off-contract, while we have a MO with Jahream for 27.

I'm not a Reynolds fan - great front runner but never the stand up guy when you need him to lift - gets hurt looks mentally lost.
Great kicking game but one year at most for me - and will be shocked anyway if he chose to finish his career at a club at the bottom of the ladder.
DCE on the other hand - also don't think we are the destination that he is looking for
He’s probably the best natural halfback in the league. He’s been carrying chronic shoulder and a back injury. We are the worst team on the NRL for him he would have to tackle.
