He could be handy at the right price, but that ain’t 750.
His defence has been questioned but in the right environment he could be better.
What’s the right price for us to pay him do you reckon? I haven’t seem enough of him to call it, but he’s the next SBW, so they say, 🤷‍♂️
Is he better than Girafe or Sam Fainu? What are they on $350? So maybe $500 with the knuts chipping in. But they won’t want to pay $250.
I reckon $500 this year and $600 next?
I was about to say with rep team incentives but he’s a Pom isn’t he, and even Oli Dillfart makes that team.

Bennett's stamp is all over the Broncos and combine that with the Qld parochial view, it would be an assignment you take on after careful consideration if you were a New South Welshman.

The biggest issue with what buzz said was “the way he spoke to me on the phone gave me insight into why the playing groups go off him”
I’m no Madge fan as a coach , as I think the young players don’t sync up with that aged hard edged coach , but buzz is dead set off his head comparing the 2 things because he was told to go F himself by someone he’s been writing negative articles about since his days at Souths 10 years ago.
And like Gordy was saying there’s only one Bellamy . I’m not even sure the Bellamy style works for him outside of Melbourne .
Everyone knows you go to melb , you’re going into the nrl version of the army , for good and bad . The system , the coach , the reputation , are all part of the package when you’re weighing up a Melbourne contract .
I just don’t think that type of coaching works outside of places like melb , and even Canberra where you’re away from thr 24/7 of nrl media.

With 2 new teams and salary cap increasing mixed with reduced squad limits players will be getting paid.

People need to reset their expectations on what players are worth. 600k is now becoming the old 350k player. Still well below what other premier sports salaries are.

Thanks for mentioning this. Salary cap increases to 12.1 mill in 2027 from 11.4mill now. Not as much as I expected. While I suppose there is room for two more of your 350k to 600k players in there, some players are going to get way overpaid with the two new franchises arriving.

He isn’t past it. Without him the Broncos would be totally stuffed. For 1-2yrs max he would be brilliant for us and would allow Latu time needed to get right for NRL level. He also won’t cost dumb prices and allow for cap to be moved into other positions.

Be better than banking on Latu (who can’t play half a season and is untested) or Bud.

100% players will get over paid, it will become a players market. Look at juniors today clubs pay huge amounts on potential most the time already.

$600k might not seem alot in the scheme of cap growth but factor that across the league + from what have heard the squad size will reduce down to potentially 27-25 players but the main cap won’t change. Add to this 2 new clubs = $24m more cash to spend + new TV deal will be agreed in next 18mths - salaries will be rising
