Wow is the going rate for upcoming backrowers $600k? Kai has not shown he is worth near that.

With 2 new teams and salary cap increasing mixed with reduced squad limits players will be getting paid.

People need to reset their expectations on what players are worth. 600k is now becoming the old 350k player. Still well below what other premier sports salaries are.

Thanks for mentioning this. Salary cap increases to 12.1 mill in 2027 from 11.4mill now. Not as much as I expected. While I suppose there is room for two more of your 350k to 600k players in there, some players are going to get way overpaid with the two new franchises arriving.

I get what the club is trying to do, but Reynolds is way past it.

Can we please stop holding off our announcements, we need some positive news.

He isn’t past it. Without him the Broncos would be totally stuffed. For 1-2yrs max he would be brilliant for us and would allow Latu time needed to get right for NRL level. He also won’t cost dumb prices and allow for cap to be moved into other positions.

Be better than banking on Latu (who can’t play half a season and is untested) or Bud.

100% players will get over paid, it will become a players market. Look at juniors today clubs pay huge amounts on potential most the time already.

$600k might not seem alot in the scheme of cap growth but factor that across the league + from what have heard the squad size will reduce down to potentially 27-25 players but the main cap won’t change. Add to this 2 new clubs = $24m more cash to spend + new TV deal will be agreed in next 18mths - salaries will be rising

All it says is that someone (we) have offered more than the knights, doesn’t mean the knights have offered $750 as the new contract. Could be $450 and we are offering $550 🤷

Yes 2 more teams coming in 60 players needed the talent in NRL 1st grade is thin already, grab what you need now we might have to pay 650/700k.

Don't wait and have to pay 200k overs down the track when other teams are desperate for players, If Terrell doesn't like it upgrade him to keep him happy.

We also sold to Luai that this was his team and his next phase legacy can be dragging WT off the bottom. How does that work with Reynolds too...

I really REALLY lament that Madge wasn't smart enough to pick up on Reynolds outing at Souths. Had he secured Reynolds for us:
