Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I’m with you here Tom,
The manager is just doing his job seeing how much interest is out there for his client.
If there is a position that has abundance of talent around it is the no:9
So wouldn’t see much issue finding a replacement if the kid moves on.
Sorry Oldman but that’s what players say to deflect blame and avoid responsibility. Tallyn employs his manager to act on his behalf, if his manager makes public statements that disrespect Api and the club, that’s as good as Tallyn saying so himself. If Tallyn doesn’t believe what his manager said but lets the comments stand in order to manipulate the negotiation and gain an advantage, it erodes trust and damages his relationship with the club. Downplaying a problem or an issue usually makes things worse. Honesty and integrity still have a place in this world despite the efforts of some.

He’s 35 end of next year. He should leave with everyone’s blessing if it’s his choice. Would have done the hard yards for the Tigers. Big call for the Tigers. Ricky made a similar call with their halfback.
That’s not the point, there is no respect from any of our players for our club or our fans.
If there was they would show their respect and not publicly air their contract thoughts, particularly when it comes to departing our club.

This is crap.
Sorry but Api should be quite atm.

Last week we just punted Galvin and within a week our Captain is talking about leaving whilst being in a negotiation period.

Our backup has been vocal about testing the market.

Seriously couldn’t make this crap up.

Such a basket case of a club.
"I'm a Tiger, just focusing on getting results for this club at the moment and hopefully for seasons to come."

And then he could do whatever he likes behind the cameras.

SMH - it's simple.

Do players still get media training?

Da Silva over Api for 2027 onwards is a no brainer.

Api is an exceptional player and has been great for us, but the reality is he might not even be better than Da Silva in 2027, let alone the years after that.

If the view is that Da Silva isn't a great prospect, then so be it. But if your view is that he'll be a good first grader, then it's absolute madness to choose Api at the end of his career versus Tallyn at the start.

When did Galvin say that?
Here's one where he goes on about how all the dramas are resolved and wants to win a comp at Tigers.

There's another I'm trying to find where he is talking with Andrew Johns and says everything good at the club and loves the club. Has also said it on quick interviews after games last season.

The point is, you should know that any player that leaves the door open to leaving his current club by not squashing any exit chat is usually very open to leaving despite any nice words said about the club.

Brian told you?
No the guy who worked at the Cowboys and Roosters the guy who told me that Bud was off to Souths long before anyone said anything and the guy who said Cook was off to the Dragons and I posted here

He doesn't say to much about he is right sometimes

Thanks. I interpret that as he confirms were looking not that someone had been signed that he was set to announce.
The quote we will make announcements...about players we've signed or otherwise. The 'or otherwise' part to me suggests there were no confirmed signings, but good to know he is looking.
I'm not as confident that someone of need will become available as he is but I do think he is a very good administrator and happy to give him time to affect change.

He also told you that To”o was coming here last year …right ?

How would one guy know what is happening at every club …just because he worked at two others previously?

Any suggestions?

In all seriousness, he looks to have massive upside and potential to be twice the player he is currently showing.
The question is do we have the coaching to get the best out of him ?

He has some size that they lack …there is no question he is an upgrade… wish he had a bit of mongrel like Olakawatu thoigh …
