Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

So a UK 6 is moving Latu Fainu off his chosen position ? …. I don’t agree mate . Dodd is the latest in a long line of halves who have figured out how far behind the standard of nrl super league is.
Chuck is everyone’s favourite Jackson Hastings as well . Only the knights (LOL) thought he was worth 800k . Bidded against themselves , and now he’s plonked in KOE.
I would never ever offer big money to a pommy half. Train and trial at best …

Jackson Hastings won the ESL Man of Steel one year …. Their Dally M…

I agree with you on that standard …no thanks

Strange though only caught a quick glimpse of the Dogs game looked like the Rat king was running direct and not doing his crabbing crossfield running.
He had a clear role to play and did a decent job as the link man. Also coming on in the last 20mins when it was obvious Parra had run out of steam is not really anything to hang your hat on. Wait till he has to create or is playing without Critta outside of him. Parra should have thrown more attack down his side yet were starved of the ball and Critta was there to cover in any case. What I found interesting is Sextons comment about being surprised he was told to go to 9, looks like Galvin may have been promised Sextons role even though all the talk has been he is happy to play anywhere, and it sounds like that is what they are selling the team as well which we all know is BS.

UK Super League signings are always a risk, sone work great, some are disasters.
Mikey Lewis is more similar in playing style to George Williams and I would say he was a success during his time here with the Raiders.
Maybe we will never know, but there’s been plenty of speculation he wants to test himself in the NRL and Richo would surely know him well from his successful UK endeavours.

I would be happier for Richo to find a couple of Pommy middles

I don’t see the club playing any tricks with their interest in signing Reynolds. I think they see him as the perfect player to have at the club for a year or at a stretch two years. He brings experience but most important a kicking game. I have mixed feelings because I think we have the halves reasonable well covered and that money could be directed at a top notch middle. In saying that kicking games win matches and ours is below standard

Got some third hand info last night at an Origin party from someone who knows player agents supposedly. Take with a grain/bucket of salt...

Galvin deal should be announced by COB Friday as there was some hold up over small print. This is probably the non-disclosure clause but could be something else related to compensation. Also, deal is closer to $1M per year with third party deals so expect Lachy to rock up in some commercials next year.

Also, once Galvin deal is done WT will announce new signings. I think one is likely KPP for 2026 but could be before June 30 thus why its taking longer to announce. But interestingly enough, we are getting 2 more signings. One could be from UK and the other one is apparently a 'big' name. Not sure who but the hint was it could be from 'up north'. Maybe Broncos?

He was aggressively vague and very drunk so could all be BS but thought I'd share anyway.

Seems my source was on the money (and on the sauce). Galvin deal was done, KPP and May both announced. Which means we may not be done yet on the signing front. Interested to see if he's three from three. Catching up with him again soon so will squeeze him for more info then!
