Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Well ..let’s call it what it is then … Sexton is 24 yrs old … if they sign him he is here to be the main man at the position … likely long term,,,expect Latu to process that accordingly
I don’t buy that. Which first grade team does Latu stroll into as a halves player?

Nothing wrong with having a bit of confidence …. Latu actually looks fine when he is on the field … the issue is staying there ..is he made of glass or just been unlucky?
Confidence has to be two-ways. Bears could hardly mortgage the ranch on him based on what he’s put on tape. That could change back half of this year, hopefully he owns it.

I still think his lack of pace is a concern ..he can see the gap at times but hasn’t got the zip to get through it …probably end up at 13 but can he increase his strength and size enough to be an elite player at that position ?
I wasn't fussed he left same as your concerns especially pace to get through the gap, enter Latu, just the way it all went down like most of us on here found it on the nose.

I think he’ll add size but stay in the halves. His ball play is his biggest strength and when he adds some bulk he’ll beat people one on one with power. Trent Barrett type player.

Yes for sure…. I think Latu can be the new answer … but he has got to stay on the field the rest of this year so they can get a real look at him …

I have no doubt Latu Fainu is ready to be an elite NRL 13, probably not for 80mins each week just yet, but if we are looking to get a quality 40-50mins out of him each week as a 13, I’m very confident he can deliver.
The issue for me is if Latu himself wants an opportunity in the halves as if this is the case it could cause him to be dissatisfied which we don’t want.

then why is he getting replaced by a 19 year old while leading the competition… i don’t mind Toby but he is nothing special
Galvin's an elite talent who will likely be better than Sexton, but even then, it could turn out to be a mistake.

Could ask the same question why the Raiders are letting Fogarty go...
