I think he’ll add size but stay in the halves. His ball play is his biggest strength and when he adds some bulk he’ll beat people one on one with power. Trent Barrett type player.

I’m not quite as enamoured in his ball play …certainly didn’t show much here this season …did he ever put Bula through a gap ? Also played very sideways … I would suggest his best attributes was his support play … a bit Terry Lamb like but again without his pace …

If we lose Charlie Staines he would be a great pick up as his replacement.

I have no doubt Latu Fainu is ready to be an elite NRL 13, probably not for 80mins each week just yet, but if we are looking to get a quality 40-50mins out of him each week as a 13, I’m very confident he can deliver.
The issue for me is if Latu himself wants an opportunity in the halves as if this is the case it could cause him to be dissatisfied which we don’t want.

he will have an opportunity here the rest of this season at 7…. Let’s make a call then

He is raw. will learn the nuances of playing short and straightening the attack. He reads numbers and throws a very nice pass. I think it’s the vision that Gus sees in him.

If and only if Latu is our 13 moving forward, a big watch on Jahrome Hughes extending at the Storm very soon.

That will mean Jonah Pezet can activate a get-out clause in his Storm contract.

Let’s hope he seeks a UK Super League contract as a club over there might pay 300-350k for him to lessen our burden.

Bailey Hayward is playing 13 very similar to how Latu played 13 against the Panthers.

I still think 6 is Latu’s spot but having a lock like that makes a huge difference to teams attack.

Probably easier these days to find a 7 than it is a 13.
