Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

The club has a comprehensive view of the situation, whereas most of us have little or a partial view. One or all of the 5 clubs interested may be willing to pay substantially more for Da Silva than our club. Cash counts.
This situation wouldn’t arise if the club was competent at retention negotiations.
Api is working harder than he ever has. He is attempting around 60 tackles per game, plus has to be creative in attack and be a leader on the field. That’s not good management. There is a high risk his body doesn’t make it through to the end of his current contract.
Tallyn has clearly said before that he isn’t ready to take over yet but is confident he will be ready by the commencement of his next contract.

Tom i wish we were not such a good club. This stinks and yet again leaves a bad taste.
And all it does is allow the media to slag us off.

It’s an odd decision… leaving for the 2027 season when his contract ends is one thing. but allowing him to leave early is another when they will be likely have to buy a replacement next season… not sure what Richo is doing here …

These 5 clubs referred to by his manager are offering big $ now not on his potential to start in 2027. The Knights want a swap deal for KPP to play him for the rest of this season, not in 2027!

Yes. This has all evolved due to Benji wanting to keep Api over TDS in the future. This did not start over what’s happening right now.
Of course the kid will lose faith and look elsewhere.

You moved the goalposts. It is for now, not in the future and it is the player's agent who gave the club the him or me spiel.

One minute we are advancing them too quick the next minute we are holding them back because we are not prepared to get rid of Api to advance them.
Blind Freddy can see the path at the club for TDS if he can't he doesn't want to.
He committed to the plan and has now reacted as the plan has changed.
Blind Freddy can see this

Api publicly stated his interest in going the Perth Bears, but let’s just convince him to stay with us until he is 40 years of age, even though none of his previous clubs saw him as an 80 minute player.
Is this a lunatic asylum or a rugby league club ?

latu :
55 mins
1 try assist
1 line break
1 line break assist
13 runs for 108m
3 tackle breaks
16 tackles (0 missed)
12-0 with him on the field
Latu can play, we all knew that prior to last night, but he did show he looks very comfortable in the halves except his kicking game needs plenty of improvement.
However he and Jerome in the halves still need plenty more attacking threat and x-factor around them to help turn us into a genuine top 8 team.
If we as a club cannot see that we will continue on this lovely journey we have been on for the past 15 years.
