That's our much better side of defense.
Under more fatigue, created by the length of time muscles are used, there is a greater risk of straining/tearing them. This restricted minutes sounds like a lot of BS to me.
When you get the ball you run at full pace if there's a gap, right? Or make a try saving tackle.
That can be after 5 min. or 70 min. Does that mean Benji says just run at 1/2 pace for 30min. then we rest you. I just don't understand the restricted minutes claim? Someone please explain how it works?
yea trueThat's our much better side of defense.
Yeah look what happened to Bula in the last second of the game last week under fatigue trying to accelerate quickly.Under more fatigue, created by the length of time muscles are used, there is a greater risk of straining/tearing them.
They are limiting Latu’s minutes to prevent his muscles (hamstring) fatiguing to the point where it makes it/them susceptible to re-tearing.
Its about overall load on an injury. Muscle fatigue increases the risk of the injury reoccurring. I went through a similar protocol back when I was playing 20 years ago and sports science has progressed significantly since then. You need to build back up under match conditions, hard to replicate that in training. This restricted minutes sounds like a lot of BS to me.

I love the backwards concept of putting our injury prone star half on playing restrictions then building up his minutes at lock.... You could not have a more diametrically opposing strategy if you tried ..... Oh we need to keep him out of half duties in the helta skelta opening 20 minutes..... But hang on let's build his minutes playing at lock probably one of the most physically tough places to defend on the football field.....He's got to be on a playing time restriction while still getting over any niggles/injuries, but then again, Benji seems to make a lot of decisions that many of us believe cost us games.
By playing him at lock ? Piece of piss defending there ...Under more fatigue, created by the length of time muscles are used, there is a greater risk of straining/tearing them.

Gallant is pathways of some kind, so you’d reckon he’d have input.I think its shannon gallant though maybe he replaced Callaway who got the arse
Betsy boop?
It’s sounds like he’s swallowed a bucket of gravel and been punched in the throat.I can't stand his voice for starters.
What do heJoey is the king of the #7 jersey.
We should be bringing him in to do 1:1 coaching with Latu.
It’s all about his hamstrings,I love the backwards concept of putting our injury prone star half on playing restrictions then building up his minutes at lock.... Sadly it has nothing to do with protecting Latu or restricting his minutes.....
It's all about Benji's Sheenius moment to change how the game is played with 3 halves... Hence the play for Reynolds and the not really ruling out Sexton garbage .....
Not at all, it's about Benji's ego, not what is good for the kid. Also defence in the middle is 100 % about lateral movement.... With big bodies like Payne Hass and Cariggian, Tino , Fisher Harris and so on and so running at full pace .... Strang place to put someone to reduce their work load ......What do he
It’s all about his hamstrings,
Defending in the middle means less sideway movements basically forward and back only in a line,
Defending as a half is wider out and the sweeping attack play from the opposing fullbacks means for more quicker movements on your legs which in turn puts pressure on those hamstrings.
Surely people can see that they are trying to reduce the possibility of another hamstring injury occurring which will be beneficial to both the team and the supporters.
Interesting that I am not the only one that thinks Benji’s ego is out of control. Not at all, it's about Benji's ego, not what is good for the kid. Don’t think Benji has sent an email?I prefer that to be the case!
could ask the same question of Benji.
How’s Benji’s EgoNot at all, it's about Benji's ego, not what is good for the kid. Also defence in the middle is 100 % about lateral movement.... That my whole point. How’s Benji’s Ego
Got anything to do with where Fainu defends ?
We obviously disagree on this one.
Benji has stated thatThat my whole point.
He isn't at lock to reduce his work load .... He is there because Benji is fixated in turning the best half in the club into a ball playing lock .....
