I don't know how many times I've seen it stated that
'Well, We've won more games than last year' Like it's something to brag about, I don't get it?

We bought in 4-6 Players from top 4 sides - That's a decent chunk of an NRL side.
We didn't go through what we've been through - And import who we've imported
'Just' to win a couple more games than last year....
We bought them here to challenge for the comp.

Especially this year, Penrith were looking at the spoon this time last month - Now they're in the 8

We've spent half of the season in heated debate over weather we'll let our best young talent go,
For what? Roster spots (To fill with no one) Cap relief
(That we only ever use to pay players to play somewhere else)
There's folks in the organisation higher than you or I grabbing at anything to try save face,
Is it really that different.

I don't suspect we'll challenge for the 8 this year,
And when we don't - Some real questions regarding this 'new' direction need to be not asked
- but answered.

There's lots of talk, It needs to get to the Park....

Good Post. I've been a fan of benji not so much the rest of the coaching staff mainly cause I think Richo should of got someone with a lot more experience instead of Hodgo. Richo keeps making it public that benji is under no threat which considering the players we have bought in we aren't winning to many games. As much as I would love to see Benji remain as a long term coach results need to change. I'm interested to think what Richo had us finishing as I had us just falling short of the 8, I'm concerned we're going to end up bottom 2 especially if the rumour that Hasler might walk away. With Newcastle and Parra both improving it leaves us and the dragons down the bottom. I hope im wrong..

I don’t think he could care less if he was on Mars, as long as he was playing in his preferred centre or fullback position.
We should be able to accommodate him playing left centre, Taylan to right centre or one of the wings.
Probably not much point talking about it as it’s quite clear we are not interested in players who bust tackles, make line breaks and can win us games.

??? His issues are he doesn’t like football , and misses his family ,2hrs west of Brisbane .
There’s no chance on earth we would have a content Selwyn Cobbo playing for us … in fact I can only see the dolphins , maybe Newcastle and maybe the cowboys because Townsville is a big country town , as being likely destinations for him .
Any team in Sydney … it would be Justin Hodges 2.0

Exactly, too tall and fast and skilful for the Wests Tigers .. Benji appears to only want players born in the same decade as himself that he can carve up at opposed sessions .. I’m a Benji coaching supporter but Jesus he needs to wise up and fast .. he is making decisions out of ego or stubbornness and not on field performance or potential right now just IMO

That could be true, but he has not stated any concerns about moving to Sydney and supposedly contacted Wayne Bennett himself about a potential move to the Rabbitohs.

Some good options there with potential and some for depth.

However I think we need some current regular NRL proven players

I've thought for a long time that Illias could make a good fist of the modern day lock. He's a lot bigger than people give him credit for and his defensive record at half is respectable (low 80%s career), something that gets that bit easier in the middle.

Would have to be in the right team though.
