Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I still believe Bula will re-sign with us, but as I keep saying that is largely up to his own performance in rounds 2-10 this season as it’s no secret we are willing to give him the contract value and length of contract he is looking for IF he shows us he is worth that money early this season.
The reason I say rounds 2-10 or early this season is because it’s obvious Bula and us would both like to know where we are heading by that time at the latest.
The other factor that many of our supporters are overlooking is that IF Bula decides to leave us for the Bulldogs, there would be no doubt his manager would then be strongly pushing or advising us NOT to take up our option for 2027.
So it’s either extend with us well past 2027, or depart at the end of this season.

Don't the Tigers like to announce player contracts updates on Fridays if so would be the perfect timing this Friday afternoon before the first game of the year

option for 2027 is entirely clubs decision at .$900k..he can do same at $800k,but thats not going to happen
My understanding is we have to activate in April
Think this is what Moses is waiting for
Its now the sole decision we have to make,,cant offer him more $$$

Wests Tigers teen Heamasi Makasini is shaping to start the season at left centre against North Queensland on Saturday night.

The 18-year-old slotted into the team at training on Tuesday alongside Perth-bound Luke Laulilii on the wing.

Incumbent centre Starford Toa trained separately from the group, nursing an unknown injury the club says will ground him for at least a few weeks.

Both Makasini and Laulilii are expected to be named by coach Benji Marshall when the team is released on Tuesday afternoon.

It will be Makasini’s second game of NRL after making his first grade debut at the end of last season.

The opportunity is huge for the exciting teenager who just finished high school last year.

Kai Pearce-Paul is also set to face the Cowboys on Saturday afternoon after training freely on Tuesday.

The former Knights forward was nursing a calf injury through the pre-season but ran on the right edge outside of Adam Doueihi at Tuesday’s session at Concord Oval.

Until he walks out
Im not a brent read fan, but he summed it up perfectly.
Theres no doubt Lomax doesnt know the meaning of the words "contract/loyalty/commitment..."..and is definitely a strange cat..plus his manger is an idiot
But candidly Eels made life as difficult as possible for Lomax to stay in NRL with their huge demands, and in the end got absolutely nothing in return for his departure
Was there for the taking for us for a 26/27 deal..asleep at the wheel

1. Bula
2. Laulili
3. Makasini
4. May
5. Turuva

What happened to Skelton? Not liking this backline tbh, a bit inexperienced
Our 2 short wingers will be vulnerable under the high ball up against the much bigger and taller Murray Taulagi and I’d say Robert Derby who is even taller will be on the other wing.
