You couldn’t ask for a better placeholder than RTS. Still has a lot to offer, and won’t overstay his welcome. Just as he is ready to walk off into the sunset, we’ll have Attard or someone else ready to go. Win-win for both the club and him.

If we do lose Bula and not sign an adequate replacement, I would say RTS would then become a handy player to have while we search for our long term fullback whether that be internal or external.
Providing we are not paying him more than 400k and Turuva to fullback and RTS on the wing could even be an option.
It would not be the perfect outcome, but it could be a lot worse.

Not for me mate, done with players coming across at the end of their careers.

Besides with RTS off contract, you would think Benji and the boys might have some sort of connection there

RTS 1-2 year to plug the gap until we sort the issue

We have ample fullbacks coming through, along with others coming off contract

To be honest if we could get RTS, I would let Bula walk

RTS currently third choice fullback at the Warriors. Was brilliant at his best, but that was a while ago now

No mate, I was just trying to point out that Gould wasn't involved with the Bulldogs while Pay was coaching them. I forgot to put in Pay's coaching period, which was 2018, 2019, and part of 2020. To say Gould was involved in his sacking is merely conjecture in my opinion, as around that time, he was a consultant for the Warriors. Please forgive me.

Why pay him anything for a position he hasn’t played in 4-5 years ? Maybe it’s a different story to be outside back depth ….but then it’s less than $400k and he would be a long way down my list…

Turuva would be a better option at FB for starters

Without knowing the truth, that sounds like a more likely reason he is in this position as the Bulldogs are always going to back their golden boy.
If this did happen, sure it’s out of order, but Crichton does come across as very arrogant.
I know he and Luai are mates, but thankfully for us, Luai has a much better demeanour about him and after publically backing Galvin, I wonder if Luai and Crichton are as close as they once were ?

Seeing though our owners consider us a destination club, I assume we are making moves for Reece Walsh and Dylan Edwards...

Jokes aside... Assuming bula does want to leave, I think we dig our heels in and activate the 2027 clause. Gives us another 12-16 month to get Reece Walsh over here... or someone of that calibre.
