Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Now that Jarome is gone the club need to move quickly to lock down both Mays, both Fainus, Makasini, Pole and Turuva ASAP. With 1.2mil in the cap cleared for 2028, it should be achievable.

Provided they can lock all of them down, Luai leaving will become a blessing in disguise.

900k to Izzy Katoa, let Shaun the sheep do the rest
18 months of development for Latu or even Andrews and we should be fine. The key is keeping the rest of the squad together. I can't see the Fainus leaving given Sione is signed long term and will want to be close to Manese when he gets out.

The real danger is the Mays, especially with Willie Peters as coach given Tyrone has been playing under him at Hull KR for a few years now. If Tyrone follows Willie Peters to PNG, I wouldn't be surprised to see Terrell and Taylan go.

Easy fix there; sign Tyrone.

Luai going is his call , and that money is huge to knock back , 2 years he be back in Sydney , my only fear is others may follow specially blokes who we have on great deals , say Sione on say $ 350 k now he gets $ 350 k net so that would be around $ 550 k in Australia , same for Turuva , even Bulla , he may now think shit Luai is done , good half , bulla fullback good fullback then others start to follow and good players , Madden even , Wests Tigers need to get their finger out and lock these guys in , Mays , Big Sam F , Macca , Turuva , HBG stay away and just give Benji and Shaun the keys to stability

What happened to the players being all in on Benj? Don’t tell me that was bullshit.
They are. Just Benji aint paying their bills. You think Benji is paying for Luai's jet plane?
Would you?
Keep it real dude This is Axl Rose/Slash level. Not Duff or Izzy level.

Benji aint god. A football coach. A game unbeknownst to this planet apart from one state in the history of the planet in s country many have never heard off.

Keep it real Man. You think you would be different in his shoes? Really.

The NRL have given the Chiefs a massive leg up by ignoring the tax free advantage in the salary cap. Yes I can understand them wanting a competitive franchise but it makes it very hard for the remaining franchises . Maybe there should be some sort of agreement they can only recruit one player from each franchise. Of course the restraint of trade card would be thrown on the table. Let’s face it we are a real chance of losing half a dozen players. It’s taken us over a decade to finally get a competitive team and that could be out the window.

On the other hand if by some miracle we only lose Luai, we will be probably be in a stronger position salary cap wise.

They’re going to affectively have a salary cap 40-50% above the rest of competition.

I think its worse for the Bears, they've been totally screwed over by the NRL. The only hope they had of attracting players was offering overs and they cant even do that with PNG in the frame. They get no exemptions and leg ups unlike PNG.

They will need a few people to book the players and their families transport in and out of the compound AHX if you are interested ?
He'll yeh. Now we talking. Jerome- hope you listening. DM me. Vicious. I will need an off sider. We could do a roster. I mean - I'm willing to pay the price for the rest of my life for just a few years in a lavish 5 star compound talking to the heads of state and making Movies and commercials

Are you willing to sacrifice Vicious a few years of freedom in Australia. Are you willing to stop working 6 days a week? Am I asking too much Vicious?

The only problem is it is only the players who are getting tax free money, nobody else.

Whilst we don’t have an appointed CEO or board we are relying on the gurus at HBG to navigate these turbulent waters.
What could go wrong 😑
