Relocate to PNG. HBG would work well there.Whilst we don’t have an appointed CEO or board we are relying on the gurus at HBG to navigate these turbulent waters.
What could go wrong 😑

Reckon they’re onto it?Now that Jarome is gone the club need to move quickly to lock down both Mays, both Fainus, Makasini, Bula, Pole and Turuva ASAP. With 1.2mil in the cap cleared for 2028, it should be achievable.
Provided they can lock all of them down, Luai leaving will become a blessing in disguise.
Who is they’reReckon they’re onto it?
The tv deal will be confirmed soon, wouldn’t mind a Fainu or two extending before then thoEveryone saying we need to rush to sign people are sh1tting the bed. That's Pascoe talk. We're supposed to be a development club remember? The worst moments in our Club's history have come when we think we are loaded and start handing out big deals too quickly.
The best way to exist in the player market for our club is to remain reactive, and to wait for the great deals to pop out from other clubs over-extending themselves.
If we forgo salary-cap structure in desperation to win the battle to keep players or change the perception of our club, we will be back in the swamp again. This is the moment you want richo running things the most.
It has probably already been mentioned but really need to step up with our Junior Talent identifying programs.Everyone saying we need to rush to sign people are sh1tting the bed. That's Pascoe talk. We can sit back till November, there’s no rush. We do need to replace him though. Anyone who thinks Madden is the replacement because he’s had two or three games is delusional.Everyone saying we need to rush to sign people are sh1tting the bed. That's Pascoe talk. We all got $4mThree players ripped out of Wests Tigers by the expansion clubs already, there WILL unfortunately be more.
Clubs need to be subsidised for player losses to the Chiefs, it'll be the less glamorous clubs that will suffer the most.
Could someone explain who's providing the tax free incentive? Is it a PNG Govt Policy? If it is then its a bloody disgrace. I'm part of an organisation who provides millions of dollars of health care to PNG. If the PNG Govt is forgoing tax revenue to appease a sporting team while still having their hand out for aid, then there is something terribly terribly wrong. The NRL have given the Chiefs a massive leg up by ignoring the tax free advantage in the salary cap. Yes I can understand them wanting a competitive franchise but it makes it very hard for the remaining franchises . Maybe there should be some sort of agreement they can only recruit one player from each franchise. Of course the restraint of trade card would be thrown on the table. Let’s face it we are a real chance of losing half a dozen players. It’s taken us over a decade to finally get a competitive team and that could be out the window.
On the other hand if by some miracle we only lose Luai, we will be probably be in a stronger position salary cap wise.
Remember Tiny refused our 3 years offer only wanting two.IMO I think the May brothers and Turuva will follow but I hope not.
It's just too good of money to knock back and I don't blame them.
I hope we start extending some asap now to settle the ship
Its not rushing, its being proactive. It should happen over the next 5 months prior to Nov 1.Everyone saying we need to rush to sign people are sh1tting the bed. That's Pascoe talk. 100%. The only way to build a sustainably successful club without financial advantages is to have a production line of junior talent. As soon as you're paying players market rate - or, worse, signing them as free agents in an open bidding war, where paying overs is more or less guaranteed - you're not getting good value in the cap. It has to be based on there always being a decent amount of home-produced guys on small salaries, who step in when the last guy goes elsewhere for more money.Everyone saying we need to rush to sign people are sh1tting the bed.
