Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I don’t keeo track of access to the links of club related videos, but the one I am referring to was not all that long ago and was well publicised and discussed at the time on this forum, so I assume there should be a few people more tech savvy than I am who can re-post iit ?
As for losing Tedesco, Moses , Woods etc that was a disaster that we still haven’t recovered from, but we are talking more than 5 changes of coaches, recruitment managers/ football department decision makers since that happened.
Name of the club official and what they said.might help..surely you recall that being straight from the horses mouth

You obviously didn’t watch the video where this information come from the horses mouth, so it’s no point continuing this conversation.
The comment was that we have previously wasted far too much money on unproven young players and a decision was made to no longer do that as far too much money gets wasted and they are staying for the wrong seasons if it’s all about money.
I can tell you it’s very necessary as money talks and you cannot fit every young player with plenty of potential on a Development or Top 30 contract.
Stupidity at its finest.
Just keeping this before its deleted.

Thats quite a claim you've made

So it's got nothing to do with the fact that Kade Evans is only the second NRL player to come out as Gay after Ian Roberts?

Or that Kade revealed he was very close to suicide due to the crap people say.

Nothing wrong with saying a guy like Folau is off his rocker and were glad he isn't coming here. Were a club, we have values, we can say those values. Glad Folau is 100% not a part of our club and what we stand for.
You have invented the part of the story where you say he was going to end it because of what people said to him. That is not what he said.

Whatever you wrote...it's not an argument to what I said. You've brought Kane (not Kade doofus) into this, not me. Just stop wokey boy.

I know the interview he’s talking about.

Richo was explaining where the club had been wasting money.

To add some context, we’d be silly to invest too much in a young fullback now given we just locked up Bula.

He was talking about spending wisely on juniors.

It’s not a claim it was on an interview for all to see earlier this year from memory.
It was mentioned and spoken about on this forum at the time.
It was just common sense stuff.

If we lock up Averillo and May for 3-4 years, and we have Makasini, there is no path for young centres. So it’d be silly to blow money on them at this time.

That was the point he made.

I understand that, but we have some fans that don’t seem to know the large part of the reason why we have lost some of our emerging young talent to rival clubs over the past couple of years.

You can’t keep them all, and outside of a couple of big names 10 years ago, which ones are haunting us?
That’s true as well.
I would say Cooper Clarke is the one that hurts at the moment as he’s exactly the type of young forward we need.
Aside from him there are quite a few we have let slip through our hands that are currently starring or doing very well in NSW Cup or Jersey Flegg at rival clubs and look likely to push their claims for NRL positions in the near future.

He certainly looks like he’ll be a good player.

Although his side is languishing below us on the ladder so it hasn’t been instant success for him, he might find he’s back out of FG at some stage.

Our depth is something that I hope is the major focus of Gallant and co this offseason.

I reckon Benji and Gallant etc are well aware we need to make a big improvement to our depth, but finding the cap space to sign the players who can provide better depth could be the problem.

You'll be right mate...don't get so worked up. Disagreement doesn't always mean hate.

Dropping a heavy label like "hateful bigot" completely nukes any chance of a productive conversation. It’s the ultimate irony....trying to oppose a view you find hostile by immediately escalating to maximum hostility.

Be kind...even to those you disagree with. And don't be woke...it makes you weak. Doesn't get you laid and makes men needlessly emotional. An emotional man is an erratic and dangerous man. Don't get thrown off centre so easily.

This is not about gay people. This is about how you've reacted to an instagram post, from someone you don't know because you don't agree with it. Newsflash...if you talk to someone long enough, you'll find things you don't agree with..some of it abhorrent. It shouldn't make you so upset.
Don't be such a condescending *****

You come across as some 70 year old man skulling his Jim Beam, preaching on the internet, trying to come across as an intellect when in fact you're nothing more than a one nation voter .

I sincerely hope you dont have children or any vulnerable people around you whom might listen to the words you say

That's really gotten to you hasn't it?

It's wrong though. You want to have talent in all grades, players pushing for a promotion, winning and creating a culture of success.

Just because you have someone signed up doesn't guarantee they're going to perform, or that you may not want to replace them at some stage.

You want as much talent as is possible. When there's no cap it's easy for clubs like the dogs, Broncos, wahs to horde young talent and generate necessary depth
